Debra Messing

There is A LOT going on here: earrings! Top knot! Bracelets! Patterns! The truth is that I'd like it if it fit a little better? She's looking swell, but the fit here just isn't fab. Her Smash character would wistfully note that she needs a scarf.

Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty

McPhee looks like she is just BARELY tolerating the bubbly presence of newly married, newly pregnant Megan Hilty, who looks...honestly, the way she always looks, where I don't think she looks BAD but I wish she looked BETTER, but who also seems HAPPY AS CAN BE, which is nice. I actually kind of like whatever longline loincloth McPhee is trying out, but she looks like such a crabpot here.

Sarah Jessica Parker

Her head looks FABULOUS, I think. The rest of her is just running late to a busy day of dull business meetings that she's attempted to enliven with a waistcoat. Enlivened With a Waistcoat would be a good name for a dandy's autobiography, by the way. One of you dandies, get on it.

Montego Glover

Montego Glover is a very successful actress of THE STAGE (I feel like THE STAGE requires caps lock) and though she OF COURSE needs a bracelet, I think she's also the best dressed person in this entire slideshow. This length is hard to pull of, and yet here we are.

Jane Krakowski

Maybe if it were a Valentine's Day party, Jane. But I can't be mad at you.

Fugs and Fabs of The New York Pops Birthday Gala
Part of this was like a mini Smash reunion. God, I miss Smash. Remember how terrible it was and how much fun we had complaining about how much we loved to hate it? Those were the days. Nothing works me into a paroxysm of glee/rage like Smash used to do. [Photos: Getty]
