She looks fabulous. Not only is she in khaki AGAIN, but it's HIDEOUS. Like, the top of that looks like something bled onto her karate uniform in the wash and so she's trying to repurpose it. Edward might be kind of nutty. Anyway, Sophie has apparently gone all the way the other side of the spectrum, possibly because Anne called her and said there was MURDER MOST FOUL afoot and that she should look somber. This might need to be a touch shorter and have a round neck instead of a mock turtle, but her face looks great. And STERN. I remember when I was a kid and was bummed out that there weren't any princes I could crush on (William being younger is a real issue when you are nine, and he is four); my mom pointed out that Peter Phillips was a possibility and I was like, "UGH, WHATEVER," and I'd like to point out that this was bratty, and not even entirely rooted in anything but the fact that he wasn't technically a prince, and I'm very sorry, Peter. That is also a lively hat. [Fugs and Fabs of the Royals at Ladies' DayThe Queen's winner at last year's Royal Ascot, Estimate, ran again and lost the Gold Cup by a neck in what sounds like it was a very exciting race. That must be disappointing for her, but apparently the fillies in that field can run it several years in a row, so hopefully she'll have another go next year and can HOLD this sucker rather than just gaze into it and wish she had bookends.
