Rooney Mara in Aouadi Couture
Normally, y'all know I'm not a fan of the big central cutout, but damned if this isn't at least a very artistic and lovely attempt. I find this to be quite beautiful, actually, and it's a bright and creative piece of cheer. Her makeup is a TOUCH casual for it, but dammit, Rooney Mara is not wearing black, white, or beige. This is a day for kicking up our heels and deploying spirit fingers.

Because THIS is what it normally looks like, and this is a big ol' whammy. First, it's a Cartier event, so the diamonds should be the star and instead the underpants are all anyone can see. Second, Rooney Mara always looks to me like he's 85 percent charged and just waiting five more minutes before she feels totally comfortable unplugging and heading out into the world.

We didn't have any great photos of her in this -- just Rooney sidling out from backstage -- and that's a shame because it's a cute outfit. Casual Rooney might be the best Rooney. Even SHE seems happier that way.
