Kat McPhee's facial expression makes it seem as if the full impact of *Smash* as a cultural touchstone has finally just hit her. That said, while I hope she brought shoes that make it easy to dance in the aisle than those otherwise cute ones, I think this dress is swell.

I love her with the curly hair. (I hope this means that she brought a little Katherine Pierce with her to the concert.) To me, this is the perfect concert-going outfit, even if you are stopping by the Tommy Bahama Taylor Swift Mai Tai Bash At Staples (or whatever). A dress, because it's been too hot for jeans here in Los Angeles (hence Zendaya going for her most ventilated ones), a jean jacket in case the AC is insane, and cute boots that are comfortable and protect your feet after Kat McPhee gets drunk and starts dancing amok, not watching where she'd putting those stilettos.

And then Matt LeBlanc showed up. If I can believe the internet, this is the concert at which Taylor welcomed to the stage Matt LeBlanc and Chris Rock, which...okay, I love Joey T and Chris Rock is a superstar, but that is RANDOM. (Later, she welcomed to the stage Mary J Blige, which makes way more sense, because of how Mary J has a variety of songs she could sing, to everyone's delight.) (PS: I assume you've seen [the parody video of Taylor welcoming random people to the stage](https://www.buzzfeed.com/lyapalater/please-welcome-to-the-stage?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). My favorite bit was, "please welcome to the stage...my two best friends, Gigi Hadid and THE BLAIR WITCH!")

But when I float past the Tommy Bahama at The Grove on the way to J Crew (where I will get annoyed that they don't have anything I want, after which I will go across the walkway to Barnes & Noble to visit The Royal We and then buy like seven other books I forgot I needed) and I peek inside and see all the nice ladies waiting for their husbands to buy their silk weekend shirts, I do not think, "this TOTALLY reminds me of Taylor Swift!" I think, "wow, Tommy Bahama always smells REALLY good." (My local Tommy Bahama smells delicious.
