This is pretty in a Come Over For a Cocktail By The Pool kind of way. (I love a cocktail by the pool, so that's praise-worthy.)

I apologize for the fact that I'm about to publish some photos wherein Sophia's facial expressions are kind of crazy; I guess she was very expressive last night. I swear, it's not personal. Regardless, this dress is very, very cute. Props for pulling off the yellow without looking like you're got the plague.

This, on the other hand, looks like it's GOT the plague. I think it's one of those dresses that you can really only pull off if, like, you're French and ergo everything you do feels insouciant and effortless and cool.

And this is resolutely fine, although there's something about it that makes it feel slightly as if it needed one more day in the workroom to add that little special something. But don't we all? Bonus points all around for good accessorizing, though. The clutch needs to be in my closet.

The trend of making a female host change her outfit like ten times a night must make a stylist break out into hives: it's SO MUCH MORE WORK. On the other hand, I guess if one look is a bust, you get a chance to Do Something about it later.
