Liv Tyler

Oh, LIV. This sweater looks like something her father would wear on Idol. As a hat.

Andrea Riseborough

That is a great coat, though. I'm so glad she came away from working with Madonna with a taste for blingy outerwear, rather than a taste for top hats and leotards.

RON SWANSON

Yes.

RON F'ING SWANSON

YES.

Caity Lotz

This girl is (was?) apparently on Death Valley on MTV. At first I thought this was just a utilitarian warmth-providing shawl, but then I saw her wearing a coat over this entire outfit on another part of the carpet, so ... now it seems more deliberate. Like she WANTED to look like her sweatshirt was giving her a hug.

Anne Heche

That is... rug store vomit. I can't.

Elizabeth Olsen

She makes "too much" look too adorable.

Taylor Swift

I don't know how I feel about Taylor and her straight hair. On the one hand, it's a nice change. On the other, I hope it's not symptomatic of that disease in this town wherein the only Serious Hair is straight hair.

Drunkface and sister

Aw, look! Matching pincushions on their heads! I do think Drunkface should've wrestled her sister for the cape, though.

Lake Bell

I like the neckline on this. Lake Bell doesn't really register for me, though, and considering that she has a really fit body I don't think this is all that flattering below the boobs, but whatever. She looked better than Kate Bosworth did at the same event, so mission accomplished.

Olivia Thirlby

My concern here is: Has Olivia given herself the Bieber?

Olivia Thirlby

I mean... right? Such a pretty face, hidden under a keratin turban. Maybe I wouldn't care, maybe I'd even love it, if Justin Bieber hadn't existed. But he does, and so all I see now is his face, and that time he was on SNL and kept looking like he was groping Tina Fey.

Griselda Siciliani

At first I thought this was Paz de la Huerta. It is not. But Paz, you are on notice. Someone has your number, and she's COMING FOR YOU.

Britt Robertson and Victoria Justice

I am ready for leggings to go away forever. Can that happen now, please?

Nia Vardalos

Someone emailed us that SWINTON looked like a cabaret emcee who'd been mugged. I see that person and will raise them Deranged Chorus Line.

Helen Hunt

Well, she looks comfortable, anyway -- this is totally what I suspect I would do if I ever had a movie at Sundance (which I will never, so I don't ever actually have to name that tune, but still). It's pretty much what I will do at Fashion Week. Sometimes, say in the dead of winter, comfort is paramount

Vera Farmiga

That sweater looks ungodly cozy. I miss winter.

Kirsten Dunst

Somebody always busts out some fur -- and let's all leave aside the pro- or anti-fur arguments, because it's entirely possible that all this stuff is vintage or synthetic or whatever, I don't know, so I'm only going to discuss the effect of the garment and not its origin, because that is between the wearer and her stylist. And the effect here is that Kirsten looks super, super cute, and I can't believe she is still able to wear the crown of braids at her age (which is not old, but still probably older than most people attempting the Heidi) and pull it off. Work it while you can, right?

Arden Myrin

It was killing me what I recognized Arden from; IMDb is a miracle. It's totally Mad TV and then Suburgatory. But now I will recognize her from That Time She Wore A Fur Dickey To Sundance.

Sean Young

Of COURSE Sean Young wore this, because I think she might sincerely believe she is Sharon Stone.

Coco

Drink it in, guys -- this might be the most clothed you will EVER see Ice-T's wife. Maybe we should pray for a deep freeze in Los Angeles, just to give our retinas a break.

Fugs and Fabs: Sundance Omnibus
Plopped between the Globes and the SAGs, Sundance never really does have much hope of providing that level of sartorial entertainment -- but for some reason, this year it felt ESPECIALLY dull. So I decided to go on a Crazy Hunt, and wade through the countless albums of Q&As and premieres and people in plaid shirts and Uggs to extract the best and brightest of the madness. Turns out there was some fug there after all -- and even some occasional fab. It was just buried under the boredom. Thank God I have a virtual shovel. [Photos: Getty]
