That is legitimately cute and I feel like if she sold it as an actual dress people would buy it for that, too. (The tennis version is a whopping $98\. Honestly, the arm warmers look like they could be compression that she added to a regular tennis dress. All I know is, the black and hot-pink pleated skirt is fantastic, but the top reminds me vaguely of a swimming rashguard. This is the part where I again remark that I wish I had been a great tennis player and/or had great legs, so that I could invest in cute gear like this. I have no problem with people trying to make tennis clothes cute -- much as I think it's fine to wear awesome lipstick at the Olympics -- as long as they don't interfere with your physical job. I also love watching these people serve. I took tennis lessons as a kid, and -- like with so many things -- I realized I was never going to be great at it, so I stopped. (REGRETS.) The mechanics and physics of hitting a powerful serve were just beyond my skills at that time. Bending back and exploding and using your knees... it wasn't me. [Fugs and Fabs: The 2016 US Open Tennis TournamentI will always love Wimbledon, and that includes its crisp and quaint adherence to the tradition of the all-white clothes. (They even clung to white tennis balls until 1986, long after the other tourneys switched to yellow for better TV visibility.) It's stodgy of them to have a dress code, but I am a stodgy person, so it's all good. That said, Wimbledon's staidness makes the U.S. Open feel like an even BIGGER explosion of color, and so I always especially look forward to it. Also, it has been an EXTREMELY sporty month on GFY. And college football starts this weekend, and stupid Notre Dame rescheduled its game for Sunday night, when I have concert tickets and will have to miss the second half, WHY DO YOU HATE ME, ND, WHEN ALL I DO IS LOVE YOU.
