This seems perhaps a WEE snug, but overall K. Hudson looks pretty great. This color is gorgeous. In fact, she has looked pretty good A LOT lately, which makes me think she's considering getting a job again. I actually don't really mind Kate Hudson that much. She has been in some TERRIBLE movies, but it is much, MUCH easier to get sucked into How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days than it ought to be, and if there is room for only one Kinda Wacky Kinda Flighty Kinda Adorable Blonde in the Hollywood Pantheon, I will take her over Katherine Heigl any day.

Chelsea Handler

If I were Chelsea Handler -- who looks totally fine but also like she's going on a casual blind date with someone who she suspects might be cute -- and I found myself in the press line behind Kate Hudson, who looks like she's going to the Oscars, I would be scrambling to re-read the fine print on my invite.

I like this? Every time I see her, though -- I don't watch 2 Broke Girls -- I start wondering if she needs a different haircut for her face. Cover up her bangs with your thumb. Cuter, right? I don't know, Beth -- just think about it.

If Kristin is going to a wedding -- as a member of the wedding party -- Octavia is going to a very nice wedding shower. She looks as polished and great as always, though. I don't know if she's still working with her awards season stylists (Nicole and Wendi Ferreira), but she seriously NEVER shows up anywhere looking anything less than hella classy.

I actually think this is really cute. It's a good example of a dress that could look ridiculous on some people but is right for her.

Jennifer Coolidge

This looks exactly what the Jennifer Coolidge who lives in my head would wear to this. The Jennifer Coolidge who lives in my head also says. "we both love soup...and talking...and not talking...We could not talk, or talk, forever" on a loop.

Sarah Jessica Parker

I like that jacket, but this feels under-dressed for SarJesPar (...that's not going to stick, is it?). I like the jacket, and she certainly looks fine, but SJP is a girl who doesn't go to a gala in a nondescript black jumpsuit. She wears some kind of giant cracked-out tulle get-up that half of us love and the rest of us want to burn. Is she depressed? Now I am concerned.

Yet another event where people look like they're going to totally different parties -- which is secretly one of my very favorite things when it comes to celeb events. I mean, we've all been invited to something where they make the dress code something that is essentially meaningless ("cocktail picnic!" "formal hoe-down!" "festive business!") but you'd think these things would be more clear cut. I mean, "GALA" is right there in the name of the event.
