I bet this looked so striking in person, but in this photo I just keep wondering why she's wearing gilded shoulder pads that have so many feelings.

The back is sexy, though, and something about this pose really sells the whole thing for me. I love Charlize with the short hair. It takes some serious commitment from your hairdresser to grow out a buzzcut with such aplomb. Just ask Anne Hathaway.

Up close it looks like the Golden Bieber, or One Shining Direction. And yet her face is doing what it does, and so things seem to click.

I love the dark blue here; I just question the design of the unadorned parts of the bodice. It's like the dress has a shiny forehead in need of blotting papers.

I like the whiffs of Egypt present in this metallic minidress -- it's almost armored -- but WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HER FEET. We have to go in for a closer look.

The windshields certainly look like an intentional part of the shoe, but... are her feet bound? Bandaged? Did she tuck little notes inside that she could pass to party attendees? Did she get a bunch of tattoos that were leaking? Did bunion surgery turn into cosmetic foot procedures? Does a pediplasty exist?
