Remember those two years when Emmy Rossum didn't know how to close her mouth? A period, by the way, which also included THE ENTIRE THREE HOURS OF PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. I'm glad those days are behind us. Also, this dress is very pretty on her.
The back is nicely funky as well.

Alice Englert is Australian/Kiwi both, and you can tell in the movie trailer because her accent veers from Cornball to Crazy, sometimes all in one sentence. Listen, I couldn't do a passable Aussie/New Zealand accent if Paul Hogan were beating me with a Hobbit, but also no one is paying me to. It is worth noting, perhaps, that Ms Englert's mother is director Jane Campion. As Brooke Berlin once said, "there are two kinds of actors: Nepotists, and the unemployed."
As far as her outfit goes, I kinda love it in theory, but in practice, there are some issues. The top half of her looks like an 18th century noble boy.

First of all, only Zoey here -- late of our beloved Ringer-- is in this movie, and I can only imagine that once I see it on a plane, I will wish she were the lead. She was so good in Ringer, you guys!
Anyhoodle, it's so nice of her mom and sister to come out and be supportive. The whole Thompson/Deutch clan looks lovely.

I might wish this lace panel were slightly more narrow, but really that's a nitpick. We can't have EVERYTHING we want.
So, not only did Zoey's family come out to support her, so did her Mom's Switched at Birth co-stars, which is taking support above and beyond. WHY DIDN'T SMG AND IOAN COME?! Why?
The ABC Family folks, btw, continue to kind of half-ass the styling of Bay and Daphne, which is a shame, given that they're both quite good on their show.
I love this color theoretically, and the cut is fine, but I basically want to set these shoes on fire.
