Well. This is quite a dramatic confection.
The back is less successful than I want it to be.
It's kind of like if Carrie Bradshaw were CRAZY and also extremely depressed.
But the drama, at least, is quite welcome.
It seems apt that Marchesa -- lover of the feather in all its incarnations -- has just started literally sticking birds on it.
That being said, I kind of like it on her. It's weird, but not over the line weird, and kind of reminds me of a fantastic old fashioned nightgown, the sort of thing in which you'd order an inappropriate suitor out of your bed chamber, and then throw a pot of face cream at him.
I might not be quite as enamored of the back.
She's ALSO there for L'Oreal. Is that ANYONE who doesn't work for L'Oreal anymore? Do WE all secretly work for L'Oreal right now?
I love this pattern. (I loved it when we saw it on the runway, too, although I mostly wanted to turn it into a chair.)
"Ugh, THERE'S the yacht on which I left my sunglasses. Never again."
