Maybe we can have The Hybrid Diaries, in which Klaus from Vampire Diaries/The Originals (Diaries), and his were-vampires butt heads with Chloe Bridges and her mixture of a poncho, a cape, and a jumpsuit, which is...a jumpchope.
Unlike Carey Mulligan's dress, I think I'd like this one BETTER if it were skin at the midriff and not netting. That really IS wrinkly.
This is, conceptually, not as hideous as most of the thing she wears. It might even be cute, except that I think the navel is too sad and obvious. And I can't IMAGINE how annoying it must be to have a tassel that big hanging from your purse.
I also couldn't figure out why she was there, until I saw Austin Butler and remembered that he's on this show. He looks fine. Exactly like he always looks.
It's amusing to me that the girls playing Carrie's high-school friends are all approximately the same age as the one playing Samantha Jones. (Actually, Ellen Wong, at 28, may be older than all of them by a margin; who knows.) They all look perfectly nice, except OF COURSE Young Samantha is wearing a visible bra. She is, somehow, doing it in a ladylike way, but ... still.
She is way cooler and cuter than this Pepto tent.
In an odd way, THIS is how I pictured Young Carrie Bradshaw dressing. Which is not really a compliment. But listen, Stefania Owen is 15. And she plays a dreary role on the show. It's nice to see her pretty face, even if it is sullied by a disco string. The hooves and the lampshade aren't really for me, either, but... things happen when you're 15. If she's still doing it when she's 25, we'll talk.
