She. Looks. Bonkers. Like she was really just meeting Mildred for tea when this splendid little party broke out for that actor fellow, and wasn't it a gas.

Haley Bennett is meant to be The Next Big Thing -- if you believe the Girl on the Train reviews (and she's in Warren Beatty's new movie, among others), and yet her stylist has apparently decided she is the ghost of a reclusive child bride who haunts her murderous, adulterous spouse in a pastiche of everything she wore in their marital bed.

Zhang Ziyi wore the version I like better. You get a fuller sense of what the pattern is going for in that cut; this one also isn't as flattering as I want it to be.

It's better from behind.

Alden 'Young Han Solo' Ehrenreich is ALSO in this film they're celebrating -- Beatty's first in 15 years -- and he is definitely going all-in on the tousled Harrison Ford hair circa Star Wars, right?

I found myself having to stare at this for a while to decide if it was a dress with a weird cape over it, or a black slinky thing with a patterned piece (it's the latter).

She looks a BIT like a cigarette girl gone super-formal. But it also works for her.

Warren plays Howard Hughes in this movie, Rules Don't Apply, and with all this fanfare I certainly hope this movie lands for him. Annette may be going through a bit of a Sally Jessy phase, however.
