Well, she looks great. Solemn, but great. (Don't worry, she was cheery in other shots; we just couldn't see the dress as well.) She's wearing Oscar de la Renta, including some of my favorite shoes from that runway show, and even with the extra linens stapled to her hip, she looks utterly smashing in it.
And she's in a Zac Posen that looks fabulous on her. I BELIEVE she is working with Brad Goreski, and if so, he's certainly at least nailed the last two in a row.
I love that neither of the "Blue Is The Warmest Color" stars is wearing blue. Adele's shoes are okay, but the rest of her outfit seems badly chosen; Lea, however, looks really cool. I don't think I'd have gone with pale shoes -- a dark purple might've been less jarring? -- but the whole POINT was probably to be unexpected and it succeeds on that front for sure.
And then Melissa Leo showed up on her pirate ship, playing the bagpipes.
And my boyfriend Will Forte, much-missed by me on SNL, was also there looking dapper.
I can't really tell what she's wearing -- or maybe I can, and there's just not much to tell -- but she certainly looks glowy. I hope that means Willoughby is super dreamy at home. I could not love it more that she ended up with him.
There's something so soothing about Meryl. Also, that is a good coat.
Why so startled, Edie? You've got on great accessories. Just go with it.
Lately it seems like there's always one person in something that belongs at another event. This one would be… lunch at The Grove, I imagine.
I don't know about the grey tights. Or the lack of lipstick. The dress itself, also, might be kind of ugly even if it does fit. The coat is nutty, though and I appreciate that. it's the star of the outfit. Can she really keep it on all night, though? And when she takes it off, will it be instant narcolepsy?
