I have to admit: I wasn't the biggest fan of her character during the admittedly brief piece of her stint that I watched. But I have loved Autumn Reeser in basically everything else ever, so I suspect I need to rethink myself on Taylor Townsend. ALSO: She looks gorgeous here, and if we all just cover the bottom of our screens and pretend those shoes don't exist, everything will smell more like roses.

I miss you, Melinda Snarke (she is so GOOD at being bad). COME BACK TO US. Doesn't The Vampire Diaries or The Originals need her? (When The OC came out, I was mostly excited because she is the real-life daughter of the actor who played Mickey Horton on Days of our Lives, and somehow this seemed to validate my addition to daytime soaps -- as if that needs validating because soaps rule). Also, Autumn Reeser PLAYS Julie Cooper-Nicol in the musical, which is great casting, although Autumn looks a smidge innocent for it.

Greer wore a deep fuchsia confection at the VMAs mere hours earlier -- if not hour earlier -- and then changed into this heinous circus costume. Having seen her on Awkward, it's clearly good casting that she played Summer Roberts. GASP. Captain Oats and Princess Sparkle had BETTER BE IN THIS THING TOO.

I gather Molly was just in the Cruel Intentions musical, done by the same people. She played Marissa. She maybe could've used a generous free assist from someone's stylist, although frankly, this is light years better than 90 percent of the VMAs.

He played a nerd on Pretty Little Liars once, and we interviewed him at a junket and discussed that he had an Adam Brody quality. Lo these five years later, he played Seth Cohen. WE MADE IT HAPPEN.

He played Ryan Atwood. Was it an INTENTIONAL joke that he looks 10 years older than any of the other kids? (That's not a knock on his looks; just an observation that he's kind of the Ian Ziering of this group, age-appropriateness-wise)(he's 34).

I mean, Christine Lakin is only 36, and SHE played KIERSTEN, effectively Ryan's mother. So yeah: Tilky is the Ziering (now there's a sentence). Also, Christine Lakin reads the audiobook of THE ROYAL WE and is fantastic at it, and damn, it was a hard assignment. So all the laurels to her.

Ah, Kiersten herself, making a rare public appearance. I always felt like they imagined her as Lily Van Der Woodsen but couldn't get her out of reclusion, so they went with Kelly Rutherford for a) the same aesthetic vibe, and b) the same initials, and c) the same name in case they ever slipped up.

And, Rachel Bilson was there. (I assume Ben McKenzie was off shooting Gotham, and Chris Carmack is in Nashville on that show, but whither Adam Brody? Alan Dale? THE BROWS (is he still on Broadway)? And Mischa? It was awesome of these folks to come, though. It always speaks highly of actors and writers and producers when they have a winking sense of humor about their art, and can recognize -- and understand the value of -- a loving snarkastic tribute when they see it.
