And you know the holiday ad where the customer bursts into a round of "A Partridge in a Pear Tree," and at the end, notes that he really went for it? And Lily goes, "you did. You really really did." THAT is what played in my head when I saw this. Gabby Sidibe went for it. She really, really did. (PS: did you know that Lily is played by the same actress who, as a child, was the Russian orphan with AIDS that Carole Hathaway wanted to adopt on ER?!?!)

Amber looks good/very understated. Although anyone is understated after the one-two of Raven-Simone and Gabourey.

This event has conveniently reminded me to set my DVR for Empire, which is getting good reviews, and which also appears to involve Taraji P Henson sweeping in places wearing head-to-toe leopard print, which is obviously also a huge selling point.
