The thing is, this isn't as weird as her usual. She actually appears to have put some effort in here -- her head, for instance, looks tremendous. But the nightdown doesn't really flatter her, nor fit. And while I admire the romantic notion of wearing an old-school floor-length cami-style nightie while she swans around her house, possibly holding a cocktail and probably wearing marabou slippers and almost certainly searching for her breakfast turban, it's not really Wear It In Public kind of stuff. I feel like I'm spying on her ablutions.
This is incredibly pretty and classy, which is her essential M.O. When this one goes out wearing a nightgown, or something that flashes her undercarriage, we will know the apocalypse is nigh.
That is quite stunning.
Wow, nicely done, Zosia. And she wins with those shoes. THOSE SHOES. I mean, I hate them, Zosia. Throw them away. In the direction of my front yard.
Fairly impressive that they got Anna freaking Wintour to come to the premiere. And she brought a second face for people to address in case she's not cool with talking to them herself. (Although that coat is a refreshingly fun change for her, and I actually rather LIKE the face, or at least am intrigued by it.)
I can't look at The Mother here (from HIMYM, if you don't watch, although I actually don't anymore either) without thinking she's a modern Miss Scarlet from "Clue." Which is not an unpleasant association.
Well, that's simple and lovely, and kind of more spring/summer than Polar Vortex, but whatever. A win is a win. Is she going to partner with Oral B on a line of coloful, fashionable Dental Kloss at some point?
But seriously, this WAS in New York, and there IS an Arctic Catastrophe happening around them. I'm sure this was inside, but it's distracting, is all. I worry about everyone's frost-bitten limbs.
At least Zac Posen is like, "Dude, brr."
And then Anson Mount (recognize him from his most important work, "Crossroads"?) showed up looking like he's playing Young Jeff Bridges in just about any of Jeff Bridges' last acclaimed movies.
