I had to open with this photo because it makes me laugh. It looks like the closing shot of the credits for an early 90s sitcom that...eventually goes to a really dark place.

I also enjoy how EXTREMELY doubtful they both look here, as if both of them just realized what she's wearing.

And while I appreciate the sort of...Old Hollywood Pajama feeling here, it's one of those Old Hollywood Pajama Looks that pop up and you think, "yeah, let's leave this in the past, shall we?"

But I LOVE this Dior (and goodness, Fassbender is handsome). (Kurzel directed Macbeth, in which these two star, and which is supposed to be tremendous. He also -- fun fact! -- is married to Essie Davis, AKA Phyrne Fisher.)

SEE?

This feels a little...ungown-like for Cannes (that's a word, right?), but jeez is it cute. I can think of seven or eight people who would look great in this eventually, too -- Kristen Stewart, for one -- and only six or seven of those people rhyme with "Hennifer Blawrence."

This is fairly elegant, too. Good on you, Marion. You leave Cannes with high marks. AS USUAL.
