It works for this -- maybe a simpler shoe would have sufficed -- and I'm curious to see what happens when her album does drop. She's an interesting kid: She's 14, she's in "Girl Meets World," and she has come out as -- per Wiki -- "open to liking any gender." I am of two minds of these things. On the one hand, and it's the more important one I think, it's GREAT that kids are speaking freely about this stuff, especially if it inspires those who aren't in the public eye to seek support and sounding boards for their own feelings. The world is a warmer place for people whose sexuality doesn't fit neatly into one box, and thank God for that. But I've also always thought that teenage celebrities saying ANYTHING about their lives is hard because they might not fully understand how it chases them, because at 14, you don't really have a concept of forever. I mean, look at Britney declaring herself pure, or whatever Jonai did the same thing, and then they all had to go back on it and were given a hard time. I'm not saying Rowan will ever regret saying or feeling what she did; just that sometimes I wish there was a moratorium on asking kids really personal questions until they're like 21, and seasoned enough to know what they'd like to keep private.
