I have a little flipbook of what the wind did to Jena's dress here, and it's to the credit of a LOT of people that it didn't get R-rated. The top of this is different than we saw on the runway, but as I predicted, with a little fiddling, it works.
I actually almost wish she had worn the original top. What do the rest of you think? Points for her lovely poppy pin, given that this happened last night. Double points for whomever saw to it that the windy atmosphere at this thing didn't make it go FULL CROTCH on her, as it certainly could have. (I assume all credit goes to her stylist, Karla Welch.) THUMBS UP.
This feels POWERFULLY TYPICAL.
While this is full-on crackers. I have to admit, I think the bar for Too Crackers To Be Borne is much higher for a Hunger Games premiere than it might be elsewhere. You just have to try not to go TOTALLY Effie Trinket, and then simply say that you're styled in homage. (But had she worn this to, say, the Golden Globes, my brow may have furrowed.)
It seems right that Lorde might be going Full Annie Hall on us, right? GO THERE, KID.
