SHE LOVES THESE PANTS. She wore them to the Gatsby premiere AND to an event for the NYC ballet! Martha's Capri Pants might be the new Letterman Dumpster for me: an inanimate object that pops up in New York at times simply to bring me joy.
Is it weird if I think the overlay here might need MORE flowers? If you're going to go for an embroidered overlay, REALLY OVERLAY IT.
Her face looks FABULOUS. This is Tory Burch and I had a terrible icy cold fear that it was a jumpsuit. IT IS NOT. It's cute on her -- I might wish the pattern went further OR not quite this far. Thoughts?
She is so damn good on Orange Is The New Black and she looks very pretty in this. BUT JUST WAIT!
Okay, I know this is just a digression, but I HAD to show you how FREAKING GREAT she looked at the Spider-Man premiere last week. The shoes, the bag, the hair, that dress: awesome.
She is ALSO so great on Orange Is the New Black and overall, I dig this -- I think her expression is selling it, because normally I would be all ILLUSION NETTING BEGONE, whereas here it feels like of like Saucy Bond Girl, and that hardly ever happens. I might have swapped shoes? Regardless, apparently there was some uproar about her not making this Time 100 list, despite winning the readers poll handily. It seems Time did the right thing after the fact and invited her to the party, and she's been way gracious about the whole thing.
She kind of looks like a floating head in this. But at least it's a beautiful floating head.
This is like the perfect thing to wear if you're going to swan into a lunch meeting, drop some major shade on everyone there, pick up and drink someone's cocktail, and then LEAVE.
I feel like Padma has somehow managed to find the ONLY gold dress in the world that somehow manages to seem understated and subdued.
The necklace might be overkill, but this is kinda good, no?
I like to imagine Martha sweeping past and making a snide comment about Babs's belt and Barbara calling after her, "YOU'RE WEARING GOLD STRETCH LEGGINGS, BITCH!"
