She is such a kick. It seems like the universe, in denying us a Bea Arthur/Rue McClanahan/Estelle Getty/Betty White/Elaine Stritch special episode of Golden Girls, is really kind of a jerk.
This is perfectly respectable on a pregnant lady. Kim Kardashian would NEVER, which is probably another sign that Evan Rachel Wood is doing it right.
I like the basic dress, but that hemline with those shoes = stumpification. And that's not the kind of math you want to be doing. (Is ANY math the kind of math you want to be doing, you may wonder? I say yes: For instance, everyone wants to do the "I just won the lottery and have to figure out how much I can blow at Barneys" math.)
I am not just putting her in here as an excuse to talk about meeting Brian Boitano this weekend at the Festival of Books, but: WE MET BRIAN BOITANO THIS WEEKEND AT THE FESTIVAL OF BOOKS. He had a cooking demo, so we went, and bought his book and had him sign it, and he was DELIGHTFUL and we talked about cocktails and he let us take a photo (which he even art-directed to make sure it didn't suck). We restrained ourselves from asking him about Dick Button and Brian Orser and WTF is wrong with American figure skating right now -- we'll wait until we are OFFICIALLY best friends to get into all that.
Anyway: Katerina Witt. She still looks freaking great. The end.
Theoretically cute, but actually unflattering.
Somebody maybe needs to take Maeby shopping for pants.
This dress would be so much better if it were simply sleek, and not "LOOK, I AM TIGHT. DO YOU SEE? I AM A TIGHT DRESS. AND THESE ARE SOME THIGHS THAT I WILL STRETCH TIGHTLY OVER, BECAUSE I AM TIGHT, AND THEREFORE MEANT TO BE WORN TIGHTLY. DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? BECAUSE THE ANSWER IS, 'TIGHT.'"
Ah, yes, the erstwhile Carrie Brady #2/Girl Who Went Insane While Dating Steve Sanders. I think she looks great, except for the shoes, which are the color of the water in my mop bucket AFTER I've done the floor.
Oh, Amanda Peet. It's not a vehement no, but it's not a yes, either. I love Felicity's leather jacket, though.
Lovely. ESPECIALLY when you consider the other thing she wore...
... which makes her look like an extra from the rejected Office spinoff about Dwight's beet farm.
"What? Isn't Liza Minnelli EVERYONE'S style icon?!?"
Well, it's much better than what she wore the other day, but I still have issues. Mostly that the shoes have no place here. They got lost on the way to another outfit.
Meh.
I can't decide if the shoes play off the neckline nicely, or are fighting with it. Also.... another meh. I don't know. I feel like I've only ever seen her in something I absolutely LOVE one time, and beyond that, it's either Fugville or Naptown.
Jessica was concerned that the dress she wore to the Festival of Books had too short a skirt. Given that hers had several inches on this, at minimum, I think we can safely conclude that it's a relief Karolina was not on any kind of panel discussion on this night or else it would've turned into a gynecology seminar.
Good luck with your hives, Shannon. Allergy season is the worst.
