Kat Graham in Max Mara

Kat Graham, bless her, never phones it in. This makes me want to see her star in a soap opera set in the 80s.

Natalie Dormer in Max Mara

I sort of like this. She ALSO looks like she's starring in a soap opera set in the 80s. She also looks almost unrecognizable to me here, and I can't figure out why. Is it because I've become so used to her in costume as Margary on GoT?

Emily Ratajkowski

This is not Max Mara. It IS bonkers. She looks like a sofa from 1974.

Ali Larter in Max Mara

Well, I do love the shoes.

Emmanuelle Chriqui in Max Mara

Is this too big on her?

Molly Sims in Max Mara

Well, her head looks GREAT. Brace yourself, but I don't hate this. I do think it might take a belt?

Serayah

She honestly looks far better in this than she has any right to do.

Ashley Tisdale in Max Mara

When I'm looking at the photos from an event like this one, I always like to pretend that I was also invite, and choose what outfit I'd have worn. I am obviously hardcore anti-jumpsuit, but this isn't terrible. (What a rave review.)

Jessica Szohr and Jessica Stam in Max Mara

I might have gone with Szhor's option -- providing it's not, like, on fire down at the hem.

Katherine McNamara

(a) The bottom of Szhor's frock is totally acceptable AND her shoes are good.

b) Speaking of shoes, can we praise the gods that Katherine didn't wear beige ones? I am stunned.

Isabelle Fuhrman

This is uber-jaunty.

Maude Apatow in Max Mara

I want to finish this off with a denim jacket.

Sasha Alexander in Max Mara

I have...pantsular concerns.

Maria Bello in Max Mara

Whoever had Unanticipated Caftan on her bingo card, CONGRATS!

Blythe Danner in Max Mara

I love everything about this on Blythe, from eyewear to footwear.

Ireland Baldwin in Max Mara

My personal feeling is that if you're going to do Le Smoking, the blazer needs to be slimmer. But those leather pants are great on her.

Rowan Blanchard in Max Mara

This is deliciously quirky on her. I love it.

Fugs and Fabs: The Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award
Every time we cover a Max Mara event, I remember a scene from The West Wing wherein something untoward happens to CJ Cregg's coat, and she exclaims, in horror, "this is Max Mara!" I have no idea how that line came about, but given that it's popped into my head multiple times for over ten years, that was some excellent PR for the brand.
