She has the shoulders of our dreams. "It will never come true," Jess said, sadly. It photographs a bit more like a Halloween costume you'd buy in a plastic bag, but on-stage she just looked cute and young, if also in need of stronger lipstick. Also, the kids in the rafters with us all SHRIEKED when she came out, so in case you were wondering if the children today still like Selena Gomez, the answer is YES. ## Amy Schumer ![amy schumer glamour women of the year 2015](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/11/FFN_GG_2015GlamourWomenAwds_110915_51903937.jpg) Amy "hosted," which meant, basically, came out and opened the show with some stand-up and never came out again. But she wasn't officially an honoree, which feels weird. "Come host this, but... you're not one of the women of the year, but you can talk about them for a while?" I wanted to like this, but again, it suffered from noncommittal makeup and the fact that it bunched up on her everywhere. Jessica wore a similar red dress, and although I am obviously EXTREMELY biased, I thought hers was better. No bunching. ONE OF YOU NEEDS TO PONY UP THE TINT. COME ON. (Posh's speech was not great. It was super repetitive of itself and of the video tribute, but in a way where I think it's clear she's nervous about public speaking, and I frankly wish she'd have just said THAT instead.)(Also, she tried to stand and speak from this exact angle at the microphone. She is OBSESSED with this being her good angle. POSH! LOOK AT YOURSELF. ALL YOUR ANGLES ARE GOOD. RELAX.) (While we're digressing: The video was SO CUTE. All the kids and David each said something loving. David had to reach out and subtly try to keep Harper from waving her arms around the whole time, and she was like, "LA LA LA I LOVE YOU MUMMY." Which has its place in the world, but that place isn't Carnegie Hall for this big ol' shindig. She can do better. Se looks pretty in this, and it's a great color, so YAY, we're ending on a happy note. This has been, on balance, a very schmoopy day on GFY. [Fugs and Fabs: Women in Red and Pink at the Glamour Women of the Year AwardsViola Davis got to introduce the women of the Charleston shooting, who -- against the roughest of emotional backdrops -- somehow managed to offer forgiveness to the person who took their loved ones. "Guess what, y'all?" one of them said. "Forgiveness is power." Everyone was moved, the women got a standing ovation, and Viola hugged each and every one of them as she clearly wrestled with her own tears. It was the kind of moment where you think, "How can I be better?
