She as a human looks impressively non-awful in this, because she brings a boatload of attitude (and the hair and makeup is perfect with it). But empirically the dress is bonkers. It's Sort of groovy, but also, it's on Liv Tyler. It's not making you more interesting to me. It really, really isn't. And I know she probably doesn't care about that, but I'd wager it's not making her interesting to the world at large, either. This plays strictly to her home crowd -- whatever fans she already has -- and don't you think Ciara seems like a person who wants to be just a little big more major than that? It would be a hilarious departure from his baggy norm, but also, I mean, those look like chewed-on leggings. [Fugs and Fines: Givenchy at New York Fashion WeekGivenchy moved its show to New York this season (I've decided it's because Kanye didn't want to bring pregnant Kim to Paris, and his close bud Riccardo Tisci refused to do it without him). We'll get into the clothes on the runway another time, but for now, let's just imagine North West and her future brother East growing up to be the valedictorians of Stanford.
