If this isn't Balmain, then it's a very good imitation -- and also the very shortest and most shrunken iteration of this cut that we've seen. Go up a size AND down a few inches. AND DITCH THE PLATFORM CLOGS PLEASE.

I THINK at the knee it stops being sheer and starts being an underskirt. But it never stops being questionable, and the shoes never start lookng like they fit her feet, so... still a no-go. Even with that lipstick. Which... THAT LIPSTICK. Is great.

My takeaway is that the dress just doesn't work, period, even with alterations.

That top is a mess. And the shoes make her toes look ENORMOUSLY long which I suspect they are not in real life. I just think everyone failed Shoe at this event.

Well, that's one way to make your actual outfit irrelevant. That coat looks EXTREMELY soft and luxe, even if the buttons make it look more like a giant shirt than I traditionally like. traditionally like.
