EEEEEE I have a LOT of stuff left to do before Christmas so please just read these:

VERY apropos for Fug Nation: [Still saving us from tears: the inside story of Wham!'s Last Christmas](https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/dec/14/still-saving-us-from-tears-story-george-michael-last-christmas?CMP=twt%5Fgu&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Angelica Jade Bastién wrote an excellent, very personal, very honest, very moving essay for Vulture: [What *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend*’s Depiction of Mental Illness Has Meant to Me This Season](https://www.vulture.com/2017/12/crazy-ex-girlfriend-mental-illness-what-it-has-meant-to-me-this-season.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Also at Vulture, this is fascinating: [How to Turn Margot Robbie Into Tonya Harding](https://www.vulture.com/2017/12/how-margot-robbie-became-tonya-harding-in-i-tonya.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

At Lainey, [TWO stories about our erstwhile intern, George Clooney](https://pubx.co/yioXjK?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I guess he's literally handing out money now!

Honestly, this is really kinda brilliant, at The Week: [Diagnosing the *Home Alone* burglars' injuries: A professional weighs in.](https://theweek.com/articles/469307/diagnosing-home-alone-burglars-injuries-professional-weighs?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (And by professional, they mean ACTUAL DOCTOR.)

Vaguely related, in the sense that this too is about an iconic 80s holiday movie. At Pajiba: [A Holiday Open Letter to Ellen Griswold: The Season's Most Tragic Figure](https://www.pajiba.com/miscellaneous/a-holiday-open-letter-to-ellen-griswold.php?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Also so good, at Pajiba, is this piece by Roxana Hadadi: [Black Excellence, Brown Pride, and the Pop Culture Gifts People of Color Gave the World in 2017](https://www.pajiba.com/seriously%5Frandom%5Flists/black-excellence-brown-pride-and-the-pop-culture-gifts-people-of-color-gave-the-world-in-2017.php?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Really interesting, at Racked: [How Titanic’s Iconic Necklace Almost Sank an Entire Company](https://www.racked.com/2017/12/13/16752938/titanic-heart-of-the-ocean-j-peterman?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

AT LAST IT'S HERE! [The 2017 Hater’s Guide To The Williams-Sonoma Catalog](https://adequateman.deadspin.com/the-2017-hater-s-guide-to-the-williams-sonoma-catalog-1821181135?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[Deadspin\]

Wow: [They just found, after 500 years, two Raphael paintings at the Vatican.](https://www.cnn.com/style/article/raphael-paintings-vatican/index.html?sr=twCNN121417undefined1057PMStory&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (While restoring a room, not, like, in the basement or behind the sofa or something.) Can you imagine the thrill of being that art historian who realized what was happening?! \[CNN\]

Over at Revelist: [15 years of Melissa McCarthy's style, from sidekick to second highest-paid actress](https://www.revelist.com/influencers/melissa-mccarthys-style-transformation/1402?utm%5Fsource=gofugyourself.com&utm%5Fmedium=cpm)

At Celebitchy, important news! [Jennifer Lawrence just signed on to play a 19th century Icelandic murderess](https://www.celebitchy.com/560006/jennifer%5Flawrence%5Fjust%5Fsigned%5Fon%5Fto%5Fplay%5Fa%5F19th%5Fcentury%5Ficelandic%5Fmurderess%5Fsure/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). That sounds like a Mad Lib.
