\-- This essay, by Rakesh Satyal, at Vulture, is so moving: [How *Beauty and the Beast* Made Me the Gay Man I Am Today.](https://www.vulture.com/2017/03/how-beauty-and-the-beast-made-me-the-gay-i-am-today.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

\-- This will be close to your heart:[ A court’s decision in a Maine labor dispute hinged on the absence of an Oxford comma. ](https://qz.com/932004/the-oxford-comma-a-maine-court-settled-the-grammar-debate-over-serial-commas-with-a-ruling-on-overtime-pay-for-dairy-truck-drivers/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)\[Quartz\]

\-- At *The Guardian*, [a moving article about a new organization in Jamaica called Tambourine Army, which is fighting back against sexual assault](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/10/jamaica-caribbean-tambourine-army-sexual-violence?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). The name comes from the following: "Early one Sunday in January, a group of women arrived at a church in the rolling, green hills of rural Jamaica. They were not there to worship, but to show support for a young victim of sexual abuse: a 15-year-old girl, who had allegedly been raped by the church’s pastor a few weeks earlier. The 14 activists entered the church and sat in silence, but angry words broke out when they were approached by a different pastor; the confrontation culminated with him being struck in the head by a tambourine." To which I say: GOOD FOR YOU. \[[There is a GoFundMe to support this group's advocacy for women and girls in Jamaica](https://www.gofundme.com/tambourinearmy?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), if you're interested.\])

\-- Finally! It turns out that [our first YA novel, *Spoiled*, is super cheap in paperback at Amazon right now](https://www.amazon.com/Spoiled-Heather-Cocks/dp/0316098272/ref=tmm%5Fpap%5Fswatch%5F0?%5Fencoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- I don't know how long this will be the case, but it's currently a mere $4\. Just an FYI!
