Stuffing! Celebrity babies! Basement malls! Book lists! Exfoliating scrubs! READ SOMETHING! - Author: Jessica - Tags: fugs, Fugs and Pieces, #wp, #wp-post, #Import 2026-10-07 08:29 Greetings and welcome to the first Fugs and Pieces of fall. Do you feel autumnal yet? At Drinks With Broads this week, [we rated presidential hunting retreats (well, one of them) and Heather uses the word "shitbird." We also get mad, once again, at T-Mobile](https://drinkswithbroads.substack.com/p/we-reject-cans-of-whoop-up). And I[ dove into a DERANGED cookbook while H reviews *The Runarounds.*](https://drinkswithbroads.substack.com/p/we-bring-the-drinks-back-to-drinks) Here's [your fresh *Only Murders in the Building* recap!](https://drinkswithbroads.substack.com/p/put-the-phallic-knickknack-down-and) Here at GFY, we had a couple of fun chats. I rounded up [a lot of gourd-centric delights](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/fug-nation-loves-gourds-2-09-2025/), and we all discussed what we're in the market for -- [from vintage wallpaper to specific hats to new shoes.](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-what-are-you-in-the-market-for-right-now-09-2025/) This is legitimately so interesting and I want to read a deep dive about everything that went into this: [Chord Overstreet’s $100K secret: The Playgirl photoshoot that never saw daylight](https://socialitelife.com/chord-overstreet-unreleased-playgirl-photoshoot-revelation/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Aw, [Rihanna had her baby! She's VERY cute](https://www.laineygossip.com/rihanna-and-assap-rocky-get-full-marks-for-baby-naming-skills-with-the-birth-of-rocki-irish-mayers/84814?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). (As you would imagine!) ...how am I just learning that [Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak are dating?!?!](https://www.laineygossip.com/i-am-here-for-mariah-careys-new-album-here-for-it-all-but-not-for-all-the-different-ways-to-say-the-title/84810?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) You probably guessed this from the fact that those "wedding photos" all over the internet were obviously AI, but [Alexandra Grant and Keanu did NOT get married. (But they're still going strong.)](https://www.pajiba.com/celebrities%5Fare%5Fbetter%5Fthan%5Fyou/alexandra-grant-shuts-down-keanu-reeves-marriage-rumors-with-romantic-instagram-selfie.php?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) As you all know, I love [the Hanni lotion stick](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26227475?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- it's great for travel because it doesn't spill, and sometimes I want to lotion myself without getting lotion on my hands (like if I have a bunch of rings on). People also love the brand's Splash Salve -- [this is lotion you apply literally during your shower](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26227590?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- and [a new fragrance-free version just came out this week](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26227678?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). (I just got mine in the mail and plan to test-drive it this weekend.) It seems too soon for this!!!! At Bon Appetit: [Who Makes the Best Stuffing Mix? We Tried Stove Top, Trader Joe’s, Pepperidge Farm, and More](https://www.bonappetit.com/story/best-boxed-stuffing?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). (I agree that Stove Top is the king here.) Really interesting: [One Battle (for IMAX Tickets) After Another](https://www.theringer.com/2025/09/25/movies/imax-tickets-sold-out-one-battle-after-another-paul-thomas-anderson-the-odyssey-christopher-nolan?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) This Nate Bargatze/Emmys/Boys and Girls Club thing seems like[ it was INSANELY UNTHOUGHT OUT.](https://www.vulture.com/article/nate-bargatze-emmys-money-speech-bit.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) That is not a well-constructed sentence but you feel me. How was this entire thing not....extensively discussed?!!?!? (My lukewarm take is that no awards season even needs a host, honestly.) So good: [Do You Remember: Barbra Streisand’s Basement Mall.](https://gossipreadingclub.substack.com/p/do-you-remember-barbra-streisands) Actually, I DO. This piece includes the very true and funny sentence, "Barbra is also proudly bananas." I...don't even know what to say about this entire thing: [The Billionaire, the Psychedelics and the Best-Selling Memoir](https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/24/nyregion/amy-griffin-memoir-psychedelic-drugs.html?unlocked%5Farticle%5Fcode=1.ok8.%5Fe-h.7XSwsroXgXqj&smid=url-share&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) This is also quite a (sad) story: [Why Karolina Went to Bali: She struggled with an eating disorder for years. When she discovered raw veganism, she thought she’d found the answer.](https://www.thecut.com/article/karolina-krzyzak-raw-vegan-bali-death-eating-disorder.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (Content warning about eating disorders.) SO INTERESTING: [Be a patriot. Read.](https://alyssarosenberg.substack.com/p/be-a-patriot-read) I love book lists. At Town & Country: [The 49 Must-Read Books of Fall 2025](https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a65797467/best-books-fall-2025/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) As you also know, I love exfoliating (maybe this is also why I'm using so much lotion now) and I have a new favorite facial exfoliator. [It is VERY GOOD and also you can use it as a mask.](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26227957?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (It also [comes in a travel size](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26228007?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), which I always appreciate.) I actually also like [Kora's face oil,](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26228125?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) while I'm over there. Also, literally as I type this: They just gave me a code! DWB15 for 15% off. Yay! A lot of wild rides in the links this week. This is another: [The Preacher’s Ex-Wife Who Fooled Hollywood](https://www.marieclaire.com/culture/the-preachers-ex-wife-who-fooled-hollywood/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) At Eater: [The Life and Death of the American Foodie](https://www.eater.com/food-culture/911138/foodie-history-american-food-culture?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Logistics!! From Emma Straub: [Behind the Scenes at My New Book Club](https://emmastraub.substack.com/p/behind-the-scenes-at-my-new-book) Always here for this: [How Plaid Is Making a Major Comeback This Season](https://www.elle.com/fashion/shopping/a66413201/fall-2025-plaid-trend/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) I think I mentioned [my new Korres perfume that I really love.](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26387410?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (I know I put it on our Instagram.) Anyway, they gave us a code ([for the whole site,](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26228384?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) not just the perfume). It is DWB15 for 15% off. It seems too soon to even begin to think about this but [they DO have an advent calendar...](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26228461?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Finally, a couple of sales in case you're feeling shoppy: [Frame has a 25% situation through the end of the weekend](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26336122?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), if you need jeans. And [Boden is also running a 50% off sale.](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26230127?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (Including [the grumpy cat](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26253756?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and [grumpy dog sweatshirts](https://go.shopmy.us/p-26253835?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) I featured in some recent round-ups.) *Photo by Pix/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images.
