This is just a great picture. I keep imagining myself barrelling in from stage right to horn in on this hug.

I really love this dress on Lupita, with the exception of the fact that I might have belted it? Can we all just delight in her purple shoes, though?

I delight in all of this. Janelle could -- and I wish she would -- teach a class about how to stick to a very specific personal stlye without ever, EVER looking boring. This suit is fantastic.

Lupita wore this the following evening and everything in me wants to love it -- STRIPES! -- but I'm worried it looks too much like a swimsuit cover-up. Does it need other shoes? Please advise.

[Fugs and/or Fabs: Lupita Nyong'o and Janelle MonaeI put these women together in this post mostly because I could not resist using this picture -- is it weird if I kind of want to put it on MY piano? -- and it felt mean to write about Janelle and make you wait an hour for Lupita, and vice versa. \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/08/gettyimages-596729982.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/fugs-andor-fabs-lupita-nyongo-and-janelle-monae-08-2016/)
