One of the problems with writing about Royals In Foreign Lands is that it makes me want to go on vacation. This national park looks delightful! Why am I not in a Spanish National Park right now? Anyway. She looks fine in her parks-appropriate pants. Obviously I approve of Sunglasses For All.
She's pulling off this delicate non-color admirably.
Pants AND flats. She might be kind of half-assing this one. I mean, she looks fine for, like, a Tuesday at the office, but....
...the sunglasses help.
On the other hand, this seems appropriate for an event at what seems to be the Spanish Health and Human Service: businesslike, professional, a little staid, with a fun purse. Told you she likes pants. She's obsessed with pants.
I guess pants at a Fancy Commemorative Mass would be a bridge too far.
These might be my favorite of the pants. I also approve of her giant clutch. If Kate loves a coatdress, Letizia loves a clutch. (That read like some kind of very shallow SAT analogy.)
Crown Prince Naruhito was, and I quote Getty Images, "on a six-day official visit to Spain to mark the 400th anniversary of bilateral ties between the nations." He's the one whose wife leaves the house very rarely due to the stress of not having produced a male heir (allegedly). Letizia is really feeling the beige lately.
You can imagine my feelings about the shoes, but I dig this skirt so hard.
Letizia looks smashing in that color. Princess Elena (Felipe's sister) next to her looks like she ran down from her office to grab a sandwich from the cart. Step it up, Elena. The PowerPoint can wait.
