This is a bit, "everyone went as Poison Ivy this Halloween for some inexplicable reason, so I'm jumping on that trend," but she is kind of working it. I feel like that's Zoe Saldana's motto: "The worst you can ever say about my wardrobe is that I am only kind of working it."
She looks marvelous. I feel like she finally saw the final cut of American Hustle and realized she should ALWAYS looks vaguely like she's on her way to a very sexy and stylish disco.
I mean, obviously, she looks great, but is this maybe kind of too predicable? Discuss.
In the immortal words of the great poet Cathy: ACK!
That being said, she may actually be wearing this better than the runway model did, which I suppose is not a huge surprise given that Amber Valletta IS a model.
Mary J should always wear this color. (You can see this one on the runway over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards.) This feels very much like she decided she had no room for drama in her dancery and thus, she was wearing pants, thank you very much.
"Forget about Drew! Ask me about MY pregnancy!" (This is fine, but I am already tired of her maternity wear and I think it's because, as you know, I need her to take a little vacation from my eyeballs.)
Dakota Johnson, whom I LOVED in the criminally cancelled Ben and Kate, already looks completely scared of what's happening to her vis a vis the sure-to-be-shitshow of this 50 Shades adaptation. At least she's getting top-of-the-line Gucci out of it.
Her face looks like she regrets this already. I actually kind of like these insane, high-fashion caftan looks, but this particular dress is eating this particular girl alive.
She looks great, actually, but I feel like Salma might have been able to carry off some of the wackier Gucci pieces and I'm sad we didn't get to see her try. This feels like a very safe choice for her.
Speaking of gorgeous but safe...
NONE of this works for me. Her hair is looking increasingly insane and that dishwater color is a total drag. Hey, remember that time she was in a movie about cavemen and was dating a Jonas? Me neither.
OH MARG. NO. This looks like sentient lingerie.
This feels very, "I had a baby in July. I am NOT wearing something that consists merely of ruching and feathers. What have you got in a polka dot?"
And speaking of people who just had a baby and basically CANNOT DEAL RIGHT NOW....
