I know you can't really see what they're wearing here, but this picture just cracked me up. Ryan Coogler here wrote and directed Fruitvale Station, and I like to think that he's also Octavia's date at this event, if only because I ALWAYS want to know whom Octavia has brought as her date, given that that list includes Josh Sussman from Glee, Josh Hopkins from Cougar Town, and of course, her The Help director Tate Taylor. Additionally, can we just talk again about about how great she looked during that awards cycle? Seriously.
He is one sharply-dressed man. Jeez.
I give this like a 7.5 out of 10 but I couldn't completely tell you why I'm not giving her totally full marks. It might feel a leeetle bit like a throw pillow and I might have done a slightly more-red lip. I would like to add here that a 7.5 for Octavia, obviously, is like a 10 for a whole bunch of other people. We are grading on a curve.
I wish I liked this, but it kind of looks as if it's made out of Clip Art.
I (a) would have saved this for Easter and (b) different shoes my god why why are people still wearing these shoes why why please stop so bored now.
I LOVE this look. That shirt is so charming and dapper.
I also wish someone with more spare time than I have would start a Tumblr called HotDirectors.Tumblr.com. Ryan Coogler would make the cut. Kathryn Bigelow, too. Sofia Coppola. Oh, Affleck!. And...I'm sure there are others? Get on it, guys.
Melonie is SO PRETTY -- I want someone to cast her and Selena Gomez as sisters, because they remind me of one another -- but this is a bit undergarment-y. Octavia always uses color well, but MIGHT be wearing my grandma's formal mules?
This was in Cannes -- I guess we somehow missed it then? Cannes came at us fast and furious -- and I think Octavia had Gatsby fever. Michael looks delightfully Gosling-y in that vest. And Melonie: I WANT ALL OF THAT. ALL.
How many people stepped on that train on this yacht, do you think? Fab color, though.
She's in this movie too! And this is a lovely change from that time she wore the Ace bandage.
Matchy-matchy shoes, you'll be the end of me.
