Alicia Keys

Everyone and her mother has worn this Stella McCartney dress and its assorted knock-offs, including a variety of Housewives, BUT! It does look fabulous on Alicia, so who cares? Carry on.

Lorde

This totally just makes me giggle. Remember when you were 17 and cynic and mopey and NO ONE understood your artistry NOR YOUR PAIN?!?! Me too. Don't worry, Lorde. It will pass.

Emma Pask

Emma Pask was apparently on The Voice Australia and reading about that is how I know that Ricky Martin was on The Voice Australia , which makes me happy for some reason. Apparently, she also performed at Nicole Kidman's wedding to Keith Urban and she's super into blouses you can just wipe down with a sponge.

Sara De Bono

This girl was on The Voice Australia. She'd like you to look at her stuff -- isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think her collection's complete? Rumor has it she's the girl who has everything; she's got gadgets and gizmos aplenty. She also has whozits and whatzits galore. Thingamabobs? She's got twenty. I can't believe she wants more. (She might be a hoarder.)

Gossling

I like the idea that "Gossling" is going by that name solely to pick up any Ryan Gossling fans who can't spell.

Montana Cox

Montana won Cycle 7 of Australia's Next Top Model and unlike most winners of America's Next Top Model, Wikipedia tells me she works A LOT. Like, she's walked for Chanel and Dior and Tom Ford and Oscar de la Renta. This picture is slightly awkward of her -- Tyra would have notes about the way she's holding the clutch -- but I believe it when I read that she is successful. AND that dress is cute.

Bonnie Anderson

Wikipedia tells me that Bonnie Anderson is "the current president of the House of Deputies in the Episcopal Church in the United States of America." I really DEEPLY wish this were the same Bonnie Anderson, because that would surely be an interesting story. Instead, this is the Bonnie Anderson who won the first season of Australia's Got Talent.

Camilla Franks; Ilan Kidron

He's a singer/songwriter, and she, if I am interpreting the internet correctly, is a designer with a penchant for caftans, which means she is my spirit animal and I will hear no voice raised against her.

Tahan Lew-Fatt, Tim Dormer and Jade Albany Pietrantonio

These people are apparently on Big Brother in Australia and that makes me feel like I really should be watching Australian Big Brother. It looks like it might have been the lost act of Hair Bands: The Musical.

Jules Sebastian; Guys Sebastian

He won Australian Idol in 2003, and by all accounts has gone on to be crazy successful. He looks snazzy and she looks very pretty (yes, she is pregnant).

Sophie Falkiner

Sophie Falkiner is the Australian Vanna White, and I applaud her commitment to color in dressing.

Alli Simpson; Cody Simpson

Cody Simpson -- who I somehow did not know was Australian -- looks totally fine here. Alli Simpson is his sister, and in my head she's totally the Ashlee to his Jessica. If we're on the top of Simpson Siblings. (Also making her the Maggie to his Bart.)

Missy Higgins

Missy Higgins is a singer/songwriter although I had decided in my imagination she she was actually an Olympic swimmer because I was thinking of Missy Franklin. (My brain is full of turkey.) I wish this dress had been more decisive about its length, but the color is fab on her and I actually kind of dig the whole works.

Jessica Gomes

Jessica Gomes is a model, and this is fine if a bit lazy. Also, wow, EVERYONE is wearing these shoes lately; I actually don't hate them (I know a lot of you do), but they are certainly ubiquitous.

Samantha Jade

If you like Marchesa, you'll LOVE whatever the f this is.

Jessica Mauboy

Per Wikipedia -- yet again! -- Jessica here "was the runner-up on the fourth season of Australian Idol." She has since apparently fallen into the hands of a rogue gang that hangs out at Joanne Fabrics and forces unsuspecting women to model the worst of the remnant pile.

Fugs, Fabs, and WTF: The ARIA Awards Red Carpet
Every year I have to look up what the ARIA Awards actually are, and every year I say the same thing to myself: "Oh, RIGHT! The Australian Grammys! Sort of. Right?" So, as is now tradition, Australian readers, please correct me if I'm wrong about that -- or about any Aussie Celeb Facts I screw up in the course of this post. [Photos: Getty]
