The dudes look extremely dashing indeed -- Nick Hoult, your pocket square! But Charlize....obviously, facially she is nearly always perfection. But here she seems to be thinking, "why did I let them talk me into this?"

I also approve of the sunglasses.

"It's May. I'm in the south of France. Why am I dressed like an aging dominatrix who feels bad about her neck?"

"At least my ponytail is jaunty?"

I THINK I like this? It's both spare and dramatic, and I certainly think the color is glamorous. I keep wondering if she might need more jewelry, but those earrings are huge so I may just be nuts.

Bonus points for the amazing drama of the train.

Speaking of drama, this is like a GLORIOUS nightgown in a period piece. Which...I mean, Cannes IS where a woman wears her Glorious Period Piece Nightgown Dress, right?

I'd say something about how diaphanous this is, but I think my pizza is just about ready. (And at least it's apropos for the overall feeling of the dress.)

Besides, I'd really rather talk about Hoult's smirk-y face.
