Ah, it's the weekend! I hope yours is a delight.

In case you missed it, [we had a rollicking conversation this week full of people asking, and answering, vacation and travel related questions.](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-the-semi-annual-travel-question-and-answer-open-thread-05-2019/)

I also [rounded up some cute sandals](https://www.gofugyourself.com/fug-nation-loves-cute-sandals-again-05-2019?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)!

JUICY, at Esquire: [The Secret Oral History of Bennington: The 1980s' Most Decadent College](https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/a27434009/bennington-college-oral-history-bret-easton-ellis/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

At LAST! At the New York Times: "Margaret Leslie Davis, the author of “The Lost Gutenberg: The Astounding Story of One Book’s Five-Hundred-Year Odyssey,” [has tracked down the history of a Gutenberg Bible, composing a lively tale of historical innovation, the thrill of the bibliophile’s hunt, greed and betrayal](https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/24/books/review/margaret-leslie-davis-lost-gutenberg.html?searchResultPosition=1&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). "

At Lainey, [Kit Harington has gone into rehab](https://pubx.co/XPTRt0?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io).

Logistics! At the Washington Post,[ a look at the complex LAUNDRY SYSTEMS of the French Open, and other major tennis tournaments](https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/tennis/for-french-open-competitors-red-clay-dust-comes-free-so-does-the-laundry/2019/05/30/a0703622-8319-11e9-933d-7501070ee669%5Fstory.html?utm%5Fterm=.22043261cd16&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). (Clay is hard to get out!)

This is VERY VERY INTERESTING, at Vanity Fair: [Can J. Crew Find Itself—and Its Customers—Again?](https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2019/05/can-j-crew-find-itselfand-its-customersagain?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

The New York Times has a piece where [the Central Park Five discuss their lives and story with the actors who play them in the Netflix miniseries](https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/30/arts/television/when-they-see-us.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), *When They See Us*

,

and it's very good. (The miniseries is out today, in fact.)

Also at Lainey, I thought this was interesting: [Zoe Kravitz and the celebrity low-key wedding trend.](https://pubx.co/WWc34i?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

This is super interesting, at the Washington Post: [What a stolen Alexander Hamilton letter reveals about the sticky business of fine art.](https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/what-a-stolen-alexander-hamilton-letter-reveals-about-the-sticky-business-of-fine-art/2019/05/24/37dece38-7cfd-11e9-8bb7-0fc796cf2ec0%5Fstory.html??ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) To wit: "It’s just the latest drama for the Alexandria auction house, which has also handled a stolen Renoir, a Russian painting looted during World War II, an original Andy Warhol and historic urns from Arlington Cemetery. The world of fine arts can be intimidating, puzzling — and sometimes kind of sketchy."

This headline made me laugh, at Pajiba: [Look. Kate Hudson(s) Love Leggings. Deal With it OK?](https://www.pajiba.com/celebrities%5Fare%5Fbetter%5Fthan%5Fyou/look-kate-hudsons-love-leggings-deal-with-it-ok.php?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Great, at The Daily Beast: [The Forgotten Tale of How Black Psychiatrists Helped Make ‘Sesame Street’](https://www.thedailybeast.com/chester-pierce-the-forgotten-tale-of-how-a-black-psychiatrist-helped-make-sesame-street?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

I ALSO chuckled at this one, at Dlisted: [Cara Delevingne And Ashley Benson Bought A Sex Bench](https://dlisted.com/2019/05/30/cara-delevingne-and-ashley-benson-bought-a-sex-bench/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (it's like a full-on sex bench, a thing I didn't really know existed. A sex SWING, sure, but I was unaware of how much, uh, sex furniture existed until this week).

At Socialite Life, this is a real story (and aspects of it are really serious) but it also reads like a Mad Lib: [Mandy Moore Reaches Mount Everest Base Camp as Death Toll Rises to 11 This Season](https://socialitelife.com/mandy-moore-reaches-mount-everest-base-camp-as-death-toll-rises-to-11-this-season/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). There are [some serious issues afoot with Mount Everest at the moment](https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/29/world/asia/mount-everest.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and while I really like Mandy Moore and I understand and respect why she wanted to do this -- it's obviously a great item for a bucket list! - and I also get why she wanted to tell the world about it, I wonder if it's responsible at this point to promote making this climb?

Important, at Vulture:[ Every Spice Girls Song, Ranked.](https://www.vulture.com/article/best-spice-girls-songs-ranked.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) I actually think I agree with the top three, which hardly ever happens with lists like these!

ALSO important, ALSO at Vulture: [*The Good Fight* Is Coming to Real CBS So You Can’t Deny It Actually Exists](https://www.vulture.com/2019/05/the-good-fight-season-cbs-summer.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

This also reads like a Mad Lib, at Celebitchy: [Amy Heckerling’s daughter slaps back at Chris Kattan’s account of her mom](https://www.celebitchy.com/623066/amy%5Fheckerlings%5Fdaughter%5Fslaps%5Fback%5Fat%5Fchris%5Fkattans%5Faccount%5Fof%5Fher%5Fmom/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). That is not a feud I could have predicted! This story is also...messy as hell?

On the SNL topic, this is very good at Polygon: [The Saturday Night Live queer canon](https://www.polygon.com/tv/2019/5/29/18643023/snl-skits-gay-lesbian-queer-lgbtq-sketches-nbc-saturday-night-live?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

At The Mary Sue: [Harrison Ford Started the Millennium Falcon at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge](https://www.themarysue.com/harrison-ford-galaxys-edge/?utm%5Fsource=web&utm%5Fmedium=fuv&utm%5Fcampaign=linkswap).
