Phew -- this was quite a week. Mine was a tough one -- a friend of mine passed away on Tuesday, so I'm a bit low, as you might imagine. I hope you're doing okay, and have a wonderful weekend planned. If you're a mom, or have your mom with you still, I hope you have a great Mother's Day. Please give her a hug for me. And if you are girding your loins to get through Mother's Day -- I feel you.

TONAL SHIFT KLAXON:

Monday was the Met Gala and we had complete coverage: [A live chat!](https://drinkswithbroads.substack.com/p/hello-its-your-met-gala-open-thread-57f) A post-mortem [at Drinks With Broads (including Heather's 27 questions about *The Devil Wears Prada 2*)](https://drinkswithbroads.substack.com/p/the-bests-worsts-mosts-and-leasts-355)! Full [red carpet coverage here](https://www.gofugyourself.com/tag/2026-met-ball?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)! Catch up, if you missed anything.

Heather was also on the Back Row podcast with Amy Odell, discussing the entire thing.
