[Don't you want to drape yourself in flannel?](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/fug-nation-loves-flannel-09-2021/) We were so delighted to be on our friend Abby Gardner's great podcast We Have Notes this week! [We DID have notes -- we talked about Grey's Anatomy, the Met Gala, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, and all kinds of other stuff! ](https://speakstudiopodcasting.com/we-have-notes/2021/9/28/j0kns9h08xh0t96our2b4mduxdm2za?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Exceptional work at the New York Times Magazine: [When Dasani Left Home](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/28/magazine/dasani-invisible-child.html??ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). This is the follow-up to a very impactful piece the NYT ran in 2013, and I highly recommend it. (You do not need to have read the original piece; there is contextualizing background in this one.) Fascinating: "[For eight years, a man without a memory lived among strangers at a hospital in Mississippi. But was recovering his identity the happy ending he was looking for](https://magazine.atavist.com/searching-for-mr-x-amnesia-mississippi-radio-mystery/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)?" \[The Atavist\] This was an amazing piece at The Cut: [Simone Biles Chose Herself: “I should have quit way before Tokyo.”](https://www.thecut.com/article/simone-biles-olympics-2021.html??ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) At Variety:[ Shannen Doherty on Working Despite Having Stage 4 Cancer: ‘I’m Just Trying to Live the Best I Can.’](https://variety.com/2021/film/news/shannen-doherty-stage-4-cancer-1235077348/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) I love you, Shannen! I KNOW you[ want to see the trailer for this Idris Elba/Regina King western!](https://pubx.co/XBUQRY?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[Lainey\] Super interesting: [Who was Agent 355? The Mystery of America’s First Female Spy](https://www.messynessychic.com/2021/09/23/who-was-agent-355-the-mystery-of-americas-first-female-spy/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[Messy Nessy Chic\] This is [an interesting piece about the upcoming adaptation of *The Sandman*](https://pubx.co/ZzIEOa?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), which I am not really familiar with, but I know a lot of folks have Thoughts and Feelings about. \[Lainey\] A fun convo: [What improves your life for under $25?](https://www.girlsofacertainage.com/shopping/what-improves-your-life-for-under-25/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[Girls of a Certain Age\] ALSO interesting: [How scientists say a hit song is like an infectious disease](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/mcmaster-university-infectious-disease-modelling-popularity-music-1.6185851?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[CBC\] I love this piece in the LA Times about beloved Dodgers broadcaster Jaime Jarrín:[ A hearty thank you to Dodgers legend Jaime Jarrín. ‘He made me believe that I belong’](https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-09-30/jaime-jarrin-retirement-dodgers?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) BIG NEWS: [DUN DUN: Dick Wolf Is Bringing Back 'Law & Order'](https://www.pajiba.com/tv%5Freviews/dun-dun-dick-wolf-is-bringing-back-law-order.php?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \[Pajiba\] This is a really good [Q&A feature with the great Michelle Silverthorn, ](https://www.askamanager.org/2021/09/questions-about-racism-michelle-silverthorn.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)founder and CEO of[ Inclusion Nation](https://michellesilverthorn.com/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), at Ask a Manager.
