SOFIA VERGARA
MTV LATIN AMERICA MUSIC AWARDS, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AMERICA - 24 OCT 2002
I looked up what she was doing at this time, and she was in something called Big Trouble that was written by Dave Barry, and starred Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci (I love him but he will agree to be in ANYTHING), Tom Sizemore, Johnny Knoxville, Omar Epps, Janeane Garofalo, Dennis Farina... should I go on? I was a real 2002 joint, for sure, and she is dressed like an Easter cheerleader.

Modern Family premiered in 2009, so this was the show's first awards circuit -- and as always, the Golden Globes acted quickly with the nominations. This dress was a good color...
... that WAY overcomplicated itself. I wonder if it was even comfortable to sit with that thing against only HALF of your back.
2010
We are only in 2010 and we're already at one of my favorite things she's ever worn.
2010
And now we have arrived at Epic Coffee Accident.
2011
I would like this BETTER if it didn't look like she'd made the top out of tissue paper.
2011
The back is surprising.
2011
Silver or gold shoes, please, Sofia! This dress is pretty incredible on her, even though I've never loved the ones where they fold it so that there's a huge X over your pelvis.
2011
Vanity Fair? Try Vanity UNFAIR. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
2011
This is another artfully fit dress that comes to a knot at a weird place.
2012
I LOVE this. It's one of the rare fishtail hems I think is dreamy. The color, all that gorgeous work in the skirt... it's a knockout, truly.
2012
This is fine, but the cut of the bodice makes it look like her boobs are being unevently juggled.
2012
And AGAIN: Superb fit. I don't really love the dress -- it's cheesy, a little? -- but whoever was doing her tailoring was, for the most part, right on his or her game.
2013
This is a bit of a snore.
2013
Having just complimented her tailors... meh. The whole thing here feels like a knockoff of something better.

By now, I think I was starting to feel a little bored with her? It wasn't ALL v-necks and fishrails but for some reason it felt that way by the time this came along. The top looks a bit brassiere-adjacent. Those jewels though. HOLY COW.

2015
I want to excise the peplum.
2015
This was the Met Gala, and it doesn't really matter what theme was; this isn't it. It's so BORING and TYPICAL. Sofia herself seems like a flamboyant personality who likes to have a laugh, but she doesn't seem to have that same sense of humor when it comes to her clothes. The Met would've been a great place to play, but no.
