Miranda Lambert
Miranda won her THIRTY-FIFTH ACM Award, which is the most anyone has ever won, which is very impressive, and she performed from the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville -- which I realize is very important to music history but which of course I know best from Rayna James's shenanigans on Nashville. Anyway! Miranda looks very Classic Country and I like that vibe for her, for this event, in this time. Plus, who doesn't love fringe?

Natalie Hemby performed with Miranda -- she's a co-writer on song they did -- and, in fairness, these are not particularly intriguing trousers. But it is a very snazzy jacket, so here we are!

I appreciate any dude who didn't just show up to this in their old jeans (which the caveat that I get that Old Jeans is a country music style staple for dudes), and I ALSO like that he vaguely also looks like he might be doing some light vampire hunting after this. I would for sure watch a TV show about a country star vampire slayer.

Gold. Lamé. Jumpsuit. Do you REALLY think I'm EVER going to complain about this life choice?! It's very Charlie's Angels, and I am feeling that at this moment in history. (Yes, I've been worn down into formal jumpsuits for country music shows. It was always going to happen.)
Florida Georgia Line
Meanwhile, here's Brian Kelley (AKA Mr. Katherine Heigl) (WAIT I'VE JUST BEEN INFORMED THAT'S ANOTHER KELLEY, I AM SORRY FOR CONFUSING YOUR HUSBANDS, IZZY STEVENS) and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line. Kelley looks fairly rational, all things considered, but Tyler Hubbard has made some choices and part of those choices was placing the sort of patches we're accustomed to seeing on elbows into his crotch. (He hurt his foot in a dirt bike accident, so he's got a lot to deal with right now, in fairness.)
Gwen and Blake
This performance was fine! The song they sang was very chill and relaxed and soothing! Less soothing was the fact that I really thought Gwen was wearing a truly unholy pair of pants consisting of shiny beige pleather legs emerging from a white denim, uh, top section. (I don't know what that section of your pants is called!) No -- it's just white cut-offs over fishnets. I think I feel better? At least we don't have some new hybrid pants situation to worry about on top of everything else.
