[This book is so excellent](https://bookshop.org/a/2671/9781368053297?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and I'm so excited to be giving it away today!

> Only problem? Duke can't vote.
>
> When Marva sees Duke turned away from their polling place, she takes it upon herself to make sure his vote is counted. She hasn't spent months doorbelling and registering voters just to see someone denied their right.
>
> And that's how their whirlwind day begins, rushing from precinct to precinct, cutting school, waiting in endless lines, turned away time and again, trying to do one simple thing: vote. They may have started out as strangers, but as Duke and Marva team up to beat a rigged system (and find Marva's missing cat), it's clear that there's more to their connection than a shared mission for democracy.
>
> Romantic and triumphant, *The Voting Booth* is proof that you can't sit around waiting for the world to change, but some things are just meant to be.

Also, this is a story that takes place all in one day, which is something I always love. PS: If you're not registered to vote, [this would be a good time to do it](https://votesaveamerica.com/be-a-voter/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)! (Or [check your registration to make sure things are all in order.](https://votesaveamerica.com/be-a-voter/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io))

**THE TASK:** As usual, I’ll be picking the winner at random. We have one copy to give away! To enter, please comment and share the best place you've ever voted. I voted for Obama in the showroom of a Sofa You Love. They gave us cookies! I got to admire sofas while I wait! (Now, I get to vote at the Pawnee City Hall, which is also fun.)

**THE RULES:** All entries must be posted in the comments of this post by 9 p.m. Pacific time on Monday, July 13th. FYI, if this is the first time you’ve commented here, the system will automatically kick you into comment moderation, but don’t worry, I will rescue you. *(Open to US readers only; all prizing courtesy of me.)*
