Here's the thing about the cover: I love the patterned masthead, and I enjoy the retro long-hair center-part flower child aura of her hairdo. But I think her eyes look sleepy -- which, okay, she's a new mother, but she's also a model? -- and when the cover story is all about her home birth, it's a BIT on-the-nose to put her on a coat that looks like it was underneath her when it happened.

I prefer this one, though I understand why it might be hard to design around for a cover. I can't tell if she's losing her balance or holding a funky pose, but the shape of it with her wildly blowing hair is interesting. But I have to be honest, I don't think her face connected that well in any of the shots -- this one is pretty but a little vacant also.

That's a BIT spunkier, for lack of a better word? For some of the shots, Vogue added this weird graphic design element of a flower (it looks like she's staring into it here, preparing to check her teeth for spinach). This outfit is lively, though; I wonder what else from this could have worked on the front.
