## 2003:

If there were any one birthplace of Fug, there would be a wall of fame there taking note of its most famous progeny. This outfit would be on it.

## 2003: Cate Blanchett in Valentino

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465s-1614120137.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465s) CATE BLANCHETT GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

This is a dress I'd love to see Cate wear again, because it's very pretty, and I think her hair and makeup are ruining the vibe.

## 2003: Anne Hathaway in Elie Saab (I think)

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401460ab-1614119916.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Alex Berliner/BEI/Shutterstock (401460ab) Anne Hathaway PARAMOUNT POST GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS PARTY, BEVERLY HILLS, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Young Anne looks very cute in this, and might have needed a more romantic hair situation to go with it.

## 2003: Kate Hudson in Valentino

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465ac-1614119934.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465ac) KATE HUDSON GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

That sits a little low, but honestly, it's a REALLY fun dress and it suits her vibe very well. I think it needed a red lip though.

## 2003: Helen Mirren

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465ba-1614119974.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465ba) Helen Mirren GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Oh, Helen, what manner of cardigan IS that? It's just the sleeves.

## 2003: SJP

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465g) SARAH JESSICA PARKER GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

SJP, the "going-out top" is for a night out in Manhattan, not at the Beverly Hilton.

## 2003: Courteney Cox and David Arquette

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465h-1614120096.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465h) COURTENEY COX AND DAVID ARQUETTE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

She is so gorgeous. David's face says, "I KNOW RIGHT?!??"

## 2003: Uma Thurman

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465l-1614120106.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465l) Uma Thurman GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Uma has very sedate taste. I could not pick this dress out of a lineup.

## 2003: Salma Hayek and Ed Norton

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465o-1614120115.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465o) SALMA HAYEK AND ED NORTON GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

That red is perfect on her.

## 2003: Halle Berry

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465u-1614120148.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465u) Halle Berry GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

I love the necklace, at least. That's all a bit princessy for her.

## 2003: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465q-1614120127.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465q) MICHAEL DOUGLAS AND CATHERINE ZETA JONES GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Ah yes, the year she was super pregnant! She won for Chicago, if I'm not mistaken. I DEFINITELY remember her winning the Oscar while SUUUPER pregnant -- she performed that night and had the baby like weeks later. Good times. Well, maybe not for her undercarriage, but.

## 2003: Queen Latifah

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465w-1614120159.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465w) QUEEN LATIFAH GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

This color scheme is so very cheesy.

## 2003: Sharon Stone

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465ab-1614119925.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465ab) Sharon Stone GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Was Sharon going through a Madonna phase?

## 2003: Cameron Diaz

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465ah) CAMERON DIAZ GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

There is so much here that is awkward. The makeup, the strap, the plastic shoes. Her legs are out there like, "We're TRYING, but..."

## 2003: Heather Graham

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465as-1614119964.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465as) HEATHER GRAHAM GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

This is like the equally bad sequel to what Cynthia Nixon wore in 2002\. A franchise that never needed a second installment.

## 2003: Jennifer Garner

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465ar-1614119954.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465ar) JENNIFER GARNER GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

This is very Breakfast at Tiffany's, and definitely needs gloves.

## 2003: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465bd) ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND MARIA SHRIVER GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

What is Maria WEARING? Maybe she's trying to hide behind Arnie so that no one will notice her dress.

## 2003: HBC

## 2003: Meryl

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465bs-1614120028.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465bs) MERYL STREEP GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

This photo cracks me up. What's ACTUALLY happening is, she's doing an interview, and the black thing you see is one of the flaps around the camera lens that protects it from glare or whatever. But it LOOKS like she's opening wide so someone can roll some cashews into her mouth, and I have never wished MORE that this were true. EVERY awards show should have an emergency nut funnel.

## 2003: Beyonce

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_401465db-1614120038.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465db) BEYONCE KNOWLES GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

She has come A REALLY LONG WAY.

## 2003: Debra Messing

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465dq) DEBRA MESSING GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

## 2003: Nicole Kidman

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465dj) Nicole Kidman GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465dc) Nicole Kidman GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

... but when she stands still, it's like she's trying to hatch from her cocoon with limited success.

## 2003: Allison Janney

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Shutterstock (401465do) ALLISON JANNEY GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2003, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 19 JAN 2003

All right! Welcome to 2004\. This is fine! I'm trying to pinpoint why Gwen looks different now, and I'm pretty sure it's her nose. Right? She tweaked that at some point. This is definitely not the exact same face.

## 2004: Maria Bello

## 2004: Renee Zellweger

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_442325ad-1614120365.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Jim Smeal/BEI/Shutterstock (442325ad) Renee Zellweger GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, BEVERLY HILTON HOTEL, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 25 JAN 2004

Here's her win for Cold Mountain, which... sure. I don't remember being blown away by her performance -- there was a very broad Southern accent, if I recall? -- but I also didn't really like the movie itself or the book, so. She definitely looks cute.

## 2004: J.Lo

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/02/shutterstock_editorial_442324an-1614120179.jpg)

This is so... relaxed! She looks nice. (This would have been... we were finishing post-production on ANTM season 3, so gearing up for ANTM season 4.)
