I had no idea Jodie was in a movie at all (it's called The Mauritanian, and her costar Tahar Rahim was also nominated). She clearly didn't expect to win; she was just cuddled up on the couch in her Fashion Jammies with her wife and her dog. It was sweet. These are great, and this photo is the best. Will ANY of these people want to go to an awards show again, if they can turn up like this?

This is fun from the back -- kind of like someone miscalculated the size of the lei they made her. Weirdly, I do not mean that as an insult. I wish we had a proper picture of the front; this shot is on her stylist's IG, but I want the whole thing. I'M NEEDY. But it seems to do the job of "interesting while seated, but also good for the 'gram."

Olivia Colman was a hoot -- she'd lean in REALLY close right when they opened the envelopes, and then whoop and clap. Glenn's kicky red velvet suit was good. Amanda Seyfried looks like she's going to pass out -- I assume she grew up a fan of Jodie's; it has that look to it -- and on the bottom right is Helena Zengel of News of the World, about which I know nothing. But her beret makes me want to Google it.

Daniel won for Judas and the Black Messiah, and as the first of the night, got the unfortunate consequence of having no sound when he started to give his speech. They managed to get it working again, but damn, that is NOT the way to open for the embattled HFPA. His jacket seems good, and I will now implore him to use his Instagram page for the first time to show us the details.

Yay for impending babies. She looks lovely -- and if you've binged Hart of Dixie at all during These Times, you might recognize her as Tara Lynn from a couple episodes (I believe she's one of Lemon's cronies?). Leslie looks... very styled, and potentially very uncomfortable? I would not have chosen any of those colors, nor his shoes, nor his pant length.

Bill Murray clearly just came back from playing golf. And I'm thrilled this is our only engagement with Jared Leto of the evening, and that it is swift.
