This is my lazy/cheap way of also including Leo, but the spotlight is rightfully Lily's (he seems REALLY lovely and supportive of her). I went back and forth on wondering if the top of this was too tight, but in the end I think it stayed put more than it pinched? Her perfect accessories and her perfect lipstick give her an extra regal boost; she's glowing, and I think she looks gorgeous.

This is hilarious. I think she looks tremendous, and also like a tooth.

You can see how far away from her those spikes really were. I would have been so tempted to hang things from them.

Ali Wong in Dior

Ali's glasses are her signature, and they're fun and fancy and I love them. I'm less enchanted by the single arm strap, as a general design choice, but the rest of this is very well-made.

Keri Russell (in Jil Sander) and Matthew Rhys

Keri was never going to beat Sarah Snook, but I highly recommend The Diplomat; she's great in it, and it's short, so low commitment. This might be one of my favorites of the night -- I think she looks perfect.

Greta Lee in custom Loewe

Custom Loewe feels like the right choice for her in general, though I wouldn't have pegged this as them -- if you're going with that vibe, and it's custom, really GO WITH IT, right? I do like the top.

The back is more fun, although I don't love that whole hem situation.

Wanda Sykes

She looks lovely. I cannot believe she -- or any of the comedians, honestly -- lost to Ricky Gervais, of all people.

Jonathan Bailey in Givenchy

This man is terribly dreamy. Someone said in our chat that Matt Bomer had a Bee Gees thing going on, but I am wondering if they meant Jonathan? Because he DEFINITELY has Hot Modern Gibb vibes.

He's also very handsome. I just watched All Of Us Strangers, and I have A LOT of notes, but he's lovely in it.

Speaking of tablecloths, Chanel gave Riley one to wear. She is giving it her best charm, but... man, before it was Chanel, it was Vuitton. Can someone PLEASE hook her up with like... I don't even know. Some Proenza. Her red carpet interview was SO odd. Marc Malkin kept asking why it was brown and she kept saying she had to "do a thing" over and over again and it was the strangest circle.

She loves monochrome. Usually it's black, I feel like, so at least this is... a change?

This is fine -- she looks a hair washed-out, in a Kidman kind of way, in cream. But what's getting me is the hairy hem at the bottom. Why is THAT a trend. Edited to add: I passed my last vision test with flying colors but didn’t notice the skirt, which I guess has… a pattern of vulvas??? WHY NOT. The truth is out there and the bag ends of manocide IS coming.

This wasn't as amazing as some of the other stuff he's worn, but it was crisp and well-tailored and he looks super, so I am not mad about it.

I put this one here thinking the blouse was the key feature, and then I saw THIS angle and realized she had on pants, and not a skirt, so technically that might be the most noteworthy bit. Whatever. The system is imperfect! Her oufit, however, is great on her.

And finally, I BELIEVE those little pieces are all white, but they do look a bit silver or grey in some lights? Having said that, THIS kind of tomfoolery is what I want at the Globes. She looks like a complicated adult coloring book that someone gave her for Christmas and which she's going to begin work on during the boring parts of the ceremony. Had that been TRUE, I guarantee you she'd have finished it during the ceremony, too.
