(Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) I know it's GRAPES and not OLD DRAPES, but something about this feels like Fraulein Maria took it upon herself to redo the bottom of this outfit. ## Saweetie ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152532115-1715484666.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Saweetie attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. Wow. ## Steven Yeun, Joana Pak ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152532841-1715484722.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: (L-R) Steven Yeun and Joana Pak attend Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) This is a very gentle take on a toga. ## John Cho ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152532361-1715484703.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: John Cho attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. Just yes. ## Padma Lakshmi ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152521007-1715484529.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Padma Lakshmi attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Simple but effective. ## Iman Vellani ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152532301-1715484684.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Iman Vellani attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) This is both pretty on Iman, and yet also like, "LOOK AT THE BOOB FLOWERS." ## Luciane Buchanan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152531768-1715484655.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Luciane Buchanan attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Picture it: Pac Man from a dark realm chomps, chomps, chomps its way north to a disco basket of fruit. ## Leah Lewis ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152527845-1715484636.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Leah Lewis attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) The top here is fussy, like napkin art, but the print on the fabric is cool. ## Sherry Cola ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152526049-1715484594.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Sherry Cola attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Whither pops of color?!? I am boring about that, I know, but this to me needs a kick. Especially at an event where everyone else seems a bit more dressed-up; this screams Variety Power of Women Breakfast to me. ## Lucy Liu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152524195-1715484576.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Lucy Liu attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. It's just too lackluster for Lucy. ## Laya DeLeon Hayes ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152523018-1715484557.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Laya DeLeon Hayes attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Once again my anti-satin predisposition comes into play. I really want that bodice to be... anything else. ## Harry Shum, Jr. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152520335-1715484509.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Harry Shum Jr. attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) I don't love black and blue together very often, either, but that jacket is SO cool. What if I pretend the pants are... very deep navy? What if they ARE? ## Bobby Berk ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152521307-1715484538.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Bobby Berk attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) I don't know what shoes I DO want, but... they are not these. ## Poorna Jagannathan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152520276-1715484498.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Poorna Jagannathan attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) This is beige in an unthrilling way. ## Sarayu Blue ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152519909-1715484489.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Sarayu Blue attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) This is NOT beige in a VERY thrilling way. Love it. ## Jessica Wang ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152519645-1715484470.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Jessica Wang attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) This is quite neat, and more sculptural than you tend to see at one of these. I wonder if it detaches so she can eat dinner without her tablemates thwacking into it. ## Rupi Kaur ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152517520-1715484462.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Rupi Kaur attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) However, if THIS detaches for dinner... there might not be anything left. ## Alicia Hannah-Kim ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152517082-1715484452.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Alicia Hannah-Kim attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) This is stunning. At first I didn't know why the top looked... olive, or maybe a tiny bit brown, but then I looked closer and the top of the skirt is both that color AND black, so it does tie in better than you think. ## Kristi Yamaguchi ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152516280-1715484443.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Kristi Yamaguchi attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Those flowers are beautiful; I wonder if they're hand-painted. ## Chloe Kim ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152524340-1715484585.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: Chloe Kim attends Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/WireImage) Very pretty. I also keep expecting her to be blond, even though it's been a a while since she was. She just lodged in my brain that way, I guess. ## Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2152519686-1715484480.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 11: (L-R) Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani attend Gold House Hosts 2024 Inaugural Gold Gala at The Music Center on May 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) Alex Shib is filling our Blond Olympian quota today. Maya's outfit is interesting, but also a random-seeming assemblage. Like she threw on a skirt over a bathing suit. OR OVER A SKATING COSTUME. You know, in case an ice-dance-fight breaks out, as we all PRAY it will.
