Mindy Kaling in Anita Dongre

This is gorgeous. I don't... LOVE the hair style? It's a little Jane Eyre somehow. But wow, that dress is a winner.

Tia Carrere

This is EXTREMELY soap-operatic hair. This woman is being honored at a Business Gala where her ex-husband will return from the dead, spending four episodes skulking around the edges in a weak disguise -- like, a hat and an eyepatch -- before removing it dramatically at the end of Friday's episode, right when she's giving her big speech.

Ramona Young

And SHE is the one who thought she POISONED the aforementioned ex-husband, and made the mistake of explaining her entire dastardly scheme to him as he slowly "died" in her basement, so next week's episodes are going to be extremely stressful for her.

Jessica Fan

The metallic snakeskin look is fun, but I feel like she's holding her purse there out of slit panic.

Adele Lim

This is pretty, but might need a slim necklace.

Mina Kimes

I might clip off the arm ruffles, but overall this is fabulous. I hope nobody spent the evening trying to get a quote from Mina about Dianna Russini. It must be even harder to be a female sports reporter right now.

Ross Butler

This seems a LITTLE casual compared to some of these gowns? It's nice, but Beach Wedding nice.

Jenna Adler

Maybe I take that back, because at least he isn't wearing plastic safety goggles.

Jeannie Mai

The cropped jacket would have looked great with a simple long sheath. Instead, she's wearing it with a pillowcase.

Lisa Ling

This is a tiny bit low-energy, but what a color. She still looks beautiful.

Jane Li, Jet Li and Jada Li

Jet Li looks like a quirky art teacher; his daughters look amazing.

Ryan Michelle Bathe

Dang this is pinchy, which is a bummer because otherwise it's all amazing.

Arden Cho

Against my usual instructions: This didn't need the choker and might actually work better WITHOUT it. The patchwork metallic effect is incredible, and the bright green in the necklace is distracting a bit.

Poorna Jagannathan

Interesting in theory, but based on the right side of this photo, it's squeezing the hell out of her back.

Supriya Ganesh in Naeem Khan

Gorgeous. Her gown selection this year has been impressive.

Piper Curda

This bodice is giving me flashbacks to when I would realize my strapless bra was actually somewhere down at the bottom of my ribcage and not doing sufficient "bra" things at all. Which is a pity because the built-in sun shade is nifty.

Amielynn Abellera

Ah, my beloved Perlah from The Pitt. I can only assume this is an artistic interpretation of some of the Body Ooze she might have seen on the job.

Kristin Villanueva

And Princess too! She is very petite, if I remember correctly, so applause to her for not allowing this red pile to swallow her whole.

Ming-Na Wen in Iris Serben

Timelessly elegant.

Kal Penn

More florals for men, please. This is beautiful

Chloe Kim

That bodice is so well done, and then her belly button just had to join the party. At least the skirt fabric doesn't look like it's spilling out of it (that honor goes to her groin).

H.E.R. in Phan Huy

Hey now, where've you been? Welcome back. I LOVE it.

Bowen Yang

This looks like someone told him the wedding color would be lavender and NOT TO DEVIATE.

Eileen Gu in Andrew Kwon

Those chonky shoes are killing the vibe.

Havana Rose Liu

Hmm. Interesting. I think I like it?

Sandra Jeenie Kwon

I KNOW I like it.

Melissa King

I like that this is unusual, but it still reads like Formal Hike rather than Big Gala.

Amber Midthunder

I love the idea, but not that I can see so much of the underpinnings. It's distracting and detracting from the design.

2026 Gold Gala - Arrivals

Sir, this is a snore.

Lindsey Stirling

Madam, this is a HOOT.

The Gold Gala Was Once Again Beautiful

Here are the colorful outfits.
