This photo is SO AWKWARD. Jeremy Renner is servicable in Arrival, but his weirdo behavior on the red carpet of late makes his performance look BETTER, because that character came across as so solid and normal. Maybe this is his grand plan? When he plays a non-flashy part as A Regular Smart Dude, he goes Wacky on the red carpet. To make himself look like a better actor.

Golden Globes 2017: Amy Adams Is a Delight

So, I watched Nocturnal Animals this weekend -- my quick review is that it's a fascinating failure; a gorgeous mess, but certainly not boring -- and spent a lot of the time thinking, "Damn, Amy's hair looks great." This is also something I thought a lot during Arrival (which she is tremendously good in; the entire movie rests so much on Amy Adams Thinking), and, spoiler: I thought it a lot over this weekend as well.
