I HAD to start with Sandra Oh's sparkly sleeves. She looks great in this, and, in fact, looked amazing all night. (We'll be covering her red dress next.) I'm SO excited that it all went so well for Sandra Oh, a deeply talented person with amazing hair.

I just noticed that Regina's face looks a little stiff in this photo but please do not be distracted by that. SHE LOOKS PHENOMENAL. This is absolute perfection on her; fit to a tee, absolutely gorgeous, and her hair and makeup is also fabulous. I'm so SO glad she won wearing such an amazing look -- I love her. I know I've said this before, but I think many woman who are about my age feel like we've known Regina King our entire lives (I LOVED 227; was ANYONE more glamorous and perfect to a nine year old than Jackee? The answer is no), and her amazing success of the last several years is so well deserved. She also brought her son as her date and he spoke really thoughtfully to Ryan Seacrest about Times Up. So, to sum up: She looks great, she's having a great few years professionally, her family is apparently also great, and I'd like her son to take over Seacrest's gig. Thank you.

This is DISHY! She looks great. I'm jealous of how good she looks in this, and also of how talented she is, so that's fantastic!

The bad news is that someone on Nicole's team stuck a very twee black velvet bow on the back of her head, and that choice made NO sense with the rest of this superb ensemble, which makes her look like Sexy Tootsie. Which might be redundant.

If all of this wasn't intended as distractionary for some purpose...then I TRULY do not understand what is happening. Honestly, I truly do not understand what is happening regardless: This is bonkers.

This is, like, fine? It's not BAD. It's also not at all memorable, which is weird for a nominee, and it might veer slightly toward Mother-of-the-Bride for me -- although I do love a long-sleeved formal gown.

I mean, this isn't reinventing the wheel, but she still looks great in it. Body be bangin', Huffman. Carry on.

You should know that she also has a VERY long blonde fake pony-tail attached to the back of her head. (No disrespect to hair extensions, as I am a long-term fake hair enthusiast.) This is just...SIGH. More than anything, honestly, this feels super dated and kinda tired to me. I think Cavallari is actually pretty smart, and I don't know why she's popping up at the Globes dressed like a low-rent J. Lo impersonator circa 2015.

Speaking of tired and dated, this is really boring from Irina. I mean, it's fine -- but we've seen this on her about six hundred times. (I also, parenthetically, always forget they are a thing. Or "a thing.")

This was a mini-skirt when it went down the runway, and it was probably wise to make it more formal. It's...fine! I sort of wish she'd gone for some giant emeralds with it.

ALL HAIL! (This jacket is actually really very snazzy.)

I just...maybe don't like Louis Vuitton very much. Between this and Coach, I think it's possible that I am not very supportive of leather purveyors branching out.

THIS IS BONKERS but I also kind of love it? The jacket is amazing, and, as Heather said to me last night, Rosamund Pike looks great when she's dressed as "a glorious cyborg overlord." I cannot argue with that.

I will also accept this woman as my overlord.

Isan Elba is Idris's daughter, and she was Golden Globes Ambassador (which is the position formerly known as Miss Golden Globe). She looks so cute in this/is so cute in general!

This is unobjectionable, but also the dress of a woman who does not think she is going to win. (Which proved true -- she lost to Patricia Clarkson.)

I can't tell if getting Gucci is a good sign for Giuliana, or a bad sign for Gucci.

Look who continues to be practically perfect in every way.

Speaking of! This feels like a weird choice for the Globes to me; it almost doesn't feel BIG enough? Like, this is a great dress for a premiere but it doesn't feel like she thought she was going to win wearing this. I do appreciate how much she looks like she's been through an extremely gorgeous shipwreck.

DING DONG! This is very glam and slinky and sexy on her -- it's maybe 18% too much sternum for my own personal taste, but that's a small complaint. (I do not think it looks like the work of Monique Lhuillier, though. It feels more like a backwards Jenny Packham.)

I spent a long time trying to figure out if this was sheer, and I do think it's quite lined; it's good! I think Saoirse does slinky well. Remember how great this dress was at the 2016 Oscars?

This feels bit like she's bummed she didn't get to wear it as a Joan of Arc look for the most recent Met Gala.

So! This slideshow is closing on SUCH A GOOD NOTE -- almost, we've got one good look and then a thud, but THIS is GREAT. They're both so good-looking, and this Calvin Klein dress is a SPANGLY DREAM on Lupita.

I would also argue that this is one of Melissa McCarthy's best ever looks -- if not THE best. She looks like a glamorous witch and this color is fantastic. (I also love this hair color on her.)

Sorry to end on a down note, but this is a shame. Her head looks so pretty, but this bodice does not fit AT ALL. Why can't Miuccia Prada do boobs their justice on big nights?
