Demi Moore in Armani

This is wonderful. The folds on that bodice feel like such a classic Armani touch. At first I kind of wished she'd done something else with her hair, but honestly I don't think I mind it, in the end. She just looks wonderful.

Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

The pattern work on this is wonderful, but why does it look like they just folded over a remnant and stapled it to her waist? Even a crisper cut with firmer edges, like the hem has, might have looked sharper? I don't HATE it, though; it's at least interesting, and lord knows she can carry it.

This angle gives you a sense of the scope.

Cate Blanchett in Louis Vuitton

Cate wore this earlier this year, in Cannes. I love a sustainable queen, as they say. It was reported that she just wore it the other way around, but her stylist's Instagram said they simply added beads to the front. I absolutely prefer the dress this way. Great tweak. That seam across her chest in Cannes was BEGGING for beads and here they are.

Nicole Kidman in custom Balenciaga

This looked a lot better in motion -- I think because her head/makeup situation looked better in motion as well. She's photographing a little washed out in it, but when she was walking around and being interviewed, she glowed.

The back is VERY sexy. If she were constantly walking back and forth in front of me I would probably say this is my favorite, but it does flatten a little in pics.

Angelina Jolie (in McQueen) and Zahara

They both look fabulous. Angelina got away from beige and white and black, all of which tend to drab her up a little bit. I love how proud and happy she looks here. Zahara's dress is also great; I chose this pic because it was the best we had of Angie, but unfortunately you can't really see Z's face.

But, the general mood was a lot of this. Aw. (I might like her dress a bit LESS with the weird patch around her pelvis that'sslightly emptier?)

Ayo Edebiri in Loewe

The suit is fine I guess, but the metallic necktie really sings. I appreciate how often she shakes it up.

This is just an excuse to show you a) what I assume is going to be Ayo's holiday card for NEXT year, and b) that Zendaya changed into a beautiful sparkly gown (her first dress, we'll see in a few hours).

Mindy Kaling in Ashi Studio

So I love this on Mindy; what a babe. But she missed a real opportunity here to kick it up to Bonkersville. She was THAT CLOSE to a "Best Worst Dressed" and yes I meant both of those words to be in there.

I CAN ding this. The texture is neat, but it cuts so low and pinches her so much that it almost makes her look hunchy at times? When I do not think she IS, at all. But we're trending in a better direction, at least! More color for Mikey!

That looks so nice on her. Remember when she wore stuff that stumpified her? No longer!

Charles Guard and Felicity Jones (in Prada)

I somehow missed that Felicity Jones got married and had two kids? But here she is with her husband, looking awesome in a version of a Prada dress that just came down the runway. Like Mindy before her, she really missed a chance to GO HAM. Can you IMAGINE.

I think this is sparklier than it looks here; I also enjoy the very light pink (I think) backing on it. This is a pretty choice.
